O line combo

This Starting combo tonight has to be the starting line up moving forward barring injury. I'm not a stats guy but, this has to be the best rushing performance in 2 years.
LT Flowers LG Jerry C Jones RT Fluker RT Pugh. Brett Jones was excellent and Pugh dominated Von Miller give or take a play.

This shouldve been figuured out

The Tackles seem to be able to handle the rush ok (now that Flowers has improved), and the interior has a lot of beef to move people around.

Well at least after the first and second game.

Except the giants coaching staff is to dumb. Also they are to loyal for there own good. They need to put the best players on the field even if its over a starter who has been starting! Don't worry about hurting players feeling.

And overall tempo/commitment to the running game had as much to do with the overall improvement tonight as the changes to the ol.

Pugh was dramatically better than hart however.

in fact, I'd hoped the Giants would have drafted him. I know he washed out in SD, but I thought the change of scenery might bring out his potential. Maybe I'm looking through rose colored glasses (BBI glasses?) but I think this game was his coming out party. If he realizes his potential he could really solidify the NYG OL.

Even before McAdoo it seemed like the Giants didn't want Pugh to be a tackle and definitely not in his contract year where they will need to pay him more. I think some of the OL politics pre exist McAdoo.

a hard time moving over to the left side, maybe Jerry is a natural LG. I don't know what it was but I felt more comfortable on the right side than on the left.

but even then, it wasn't as bad as we've seen since at RT.

He looked good rookie year out there, and he's showing now that he's at least competent there.

It's a shame that we drafted a guy as a T, then decided he couldn't do the job, only to find out that he actually can do the job better than anyone else on the team.
