Giants Vs Seattle as I see it

superspynyg : 10/17/2017 9:14 am
QB Even. Wilson is not playing lights out and Eli is playing good right now.

Run game Giants. Giants are running the ball better than they are. They lost a running back Darkwa is running good

WRs Even. Baldwin not having a good year and we are down 3-4.

TE Seattle. Graham is struggling but still better right now than rookie Engram (for now).

Oline Giants. Seattle Oline is worse than ours.

Dline Even. Vernon may be out and Seattle lost Cliff Avril.

Lbers Seattle is much better

Secondary slight advantage to Seattle. Jackrabbit=Sherman Collins=Thomas. The rest is Seattle.

Home field will be huge for us. We can win this game but need to play good on all phases. This game should come down to who had the ball last.
Engram will be key for the Giants

If he can get open the Giants have a realistic chance at winning.

this is a game jpp and vernon(if he plays)
nygiants16 : 10/17/2017 9:17 am : link
can wreck and take over, the seahawks offensive line is horrific, they have set the edge and harrison and tomlinson need to get push up thr middle..

i am bringing collins, make wilsons life miserable and do not let him scramble
WRs are not even
WillVAB : 10/17/2017 9:21 am : link
Baldwin, Lockett, and Richardson are better. Not even a debate.

Seattle's secondary doesn't have an edge. It's at least even or edge to the Giants.
Would be great for Vernon
Metnut : 10/17/2017 9:28 am : link
to play here, but you gotta think he won't be back until after the bye.

The defense still has enough to shut down SEA. If the offense can at least maintain a few drives and put 15 or so points on the board, Giants can win an ugly game.
Don't know who SEA has at WR
Rocky369 : 10/17/2017 9:28 am : link
but I'm going to go ahead and disagree with that one.
its going to be all about containing Wilson
Giants86 : 10/17/2017 9:32 am : link
and determining whether our running game vs the Broncos was just an aberration?
Giants have often given DE's the contain assignment...
Dan in the Springs : 10/17/2017 9:32 am : link
against players like Wilson, who is mobile enough to hurt you and makes better plays when improvising out of the pocket.

I wouldn't expect to see a sell-out pass rush this week. I think we see complaints by the time it's over about how the Giants couldn't get to Wilson without the blitz, how the Seattle OL handled our DL.
these things work better when

you compare our offensive units with their defensive unit,
out d with their o. The way it's played.
Eli is better than Wilson -

Wilson has not been good. This is a pretty even game, being at home will make the difference.

just assume at this point that everybody's WRs are better than ours. The Seahawks need to cover EE and take away the run. That would stagnate our offense.
Baldwin, Richardson, and Lockett are the Seattle WR
PatersonPlank : 10/17/2017 9:56 am : link
They are better than ours. WE have no one like Baldwin. I think Graham vs EE is a draw.
Well, it's a simple formula.....
Doomster : 10/17/2017 10:00 am : link
The offense can not make mistakes, or have turnovers....

The defense has to create turnovers, and give the offense a short field, or even score themselves....

The Giants need to have a lead and force the other team to play catch up.....

The Denver coach did not take advantage of what the Giants defense offered them, or make adjustments, Carroll will....

Wilson is the kind of qb that can give this defense fits, because he extends plays....

Seattle will try to take away, our main weapon, Double E, which, Denver, for some reason did not...

Eli has to play better in the short passing game.....most of his incompletions were short passes where he had to throw on the move, something he has never been good at in the WCO....

The most important element of this offense, will be the running game.....was last week a fluke or sign of things to come? If we can continue to run, we may have a shot at play action and go deep on them....

A win here and who knows?
As far as the matchup goes
WillVAB : 10/17/2017 10:04 am : link
Seattle D has been gashed by the running game at times this year. Historically they've been susceptible to the TE. Seems to play into what we were doing last week.

Defensively have to stop Wilson from beating us with his legs. Not only rushing yards but extending plays. Their OL is trash and so is the running game. Graham is obviously a huge mismatch in their favor but they've never been able to use him correctly. The only team worse vs TEs than the Giants is the Browns.

I think there's a stigma about Seattle because of past rosters. They aren't a very good team this year. Winnable game for sure.

you cannot judge the matchup by looking at our WRs vs their WRs, etc. They never face each other on the field. This is not fantasy football. It all comes down to who has to cover the WRs on each side and what kind of opportunity they will all have based upon those matchups. The same can be said for the other positions that you referenced. It is a flawed analysis.

yeah and Wilson can run containing running QBs is an area where our defense tends to struggle. Agree that being at home is a huge difference vs playing in that loud Seattle stadium.
Well, if Robinson is starting to

round back into shape this would be the game where his presence against Graham would be beneficial. I think our Corners could do an acceptable job against their receivers. We've had problems with the RBs in the passing game. That's where they could take advantage and so we need to make sure our SS is watching the RB seeping out for a pass.

Personally, I think we'll be motivated to get the running game going like last week. This Oline wants to tee off and at home they should have the crowd behind them too. The line has to stay in tact this week. Will Richburg be back or will he come back after the Bye and if he plays will we see a drop off?

We have to win the runover battle, which goes without saying, of course, but it's a key to winning this game.

Lastly, I see a very close game and the team with the ball last winning this thing. Win this game and just maybe we could start turning this shipwreck around.
