I said we'd win against Denver. I also think we win on Sunday. Football is a confidence/momentum type of game. This team needed a good win to have that feeling.
If we can limit Wilson's scrambling ability where he just runs around for 10 seconds and find an open guy on the opposite side of the field, I think we're in good shape. In all seriousness though, Seattle's OL is worse than ours. They'll have zero running game, especially with our home crowd behind us after a nice win.
This is stating the obvious, but field position is crazy important against a team like Seattle. Similar to Denver, we can't be starting on our own 10 or 15 against their defense. We need to kneel the ball, start at the 25, and get a first down or two to get things going. Their D feeds off turnover type situations.
so my expectations are low. But what do I know, I scoffed at any Giants 'W' prediction for Sunday night.
Despite the 'W', the main positives for the Giants were the play of the defense and the offensive line providing for a healthy running attack.
However, there was still only 1 offensive TD scored by the Giants. The problem that is the actual Achilles' heel of this team, the fatal flaw, the root cause of the losing, remains an issue. And that is an offense that can score alongside the best offensive teams in the league.
But the advantages and disadvantages going into this game are different than with the Broncos game. They won't have the element of surprise on their side as the Hawks now have film to study of the new look offense and how the Giants will deploy their assets. That being said, I imagine the Giants held a bunch of things back once they got the three score lead, especially when it comes to throwing the ball downfield to the wide outs.
And as others have pointed out, Wilson isn't nearly as easy to get to as was Siemian, but once again the Giants DL will be going up against a suspect OL. And it's a home game, although that puts a little extra pressure on the Giants than when they were all loosey-goosey going into Denver with no expectations upon them.
But just like with Denver, the Giants are facing an overrated team. I'm just not impressed by Seattle and haven't been for the last couple of years. IMO they are still living off the rep won during the Super Bowl years. I would love to see Roger Lewis have a breakout game. On the flip side, the Giants need to contain Tyler Lockett. He doesn't get a lot of publicity (he's not even a starter), but I think he is their most dangerous weapon.
I see the Giants--once again led by the defense--winning by 7 to 10 points.

Giants 24 Seattle 20
Giants 3
Seattle 2
Giants 3
Seattle 2
this seems likely.

Giants will lose, 31-10.
