and why the NFL looks like shit every time...
The NFL is trying to be the judge and jury before the player actually gets in front of a real judge and jury. They are imposing penalties even before a player is found guilty. Essentially ... if accused, you get suspended.
If they would just wait and see what the courts decide in these things, THEN come over the top with an NFL suspension, they would not have these problems.

I don't agree. The NFL has a lot at stake and they have to protect their brand and sponsors. They have no obligation to wait for the court system. Elliot also isn't being fired he's being suspended, huge difference.
A few weeks before the start of the season the suspension is announced. this allows the NFLPA enough time to appeal and for the appeal to be heard and an injunction to be applied on the suspension.
the NFL appeals the injunction and the judge takes 5 weeks to issue a decision, until conveniently the Cowboys are starting their bye week and the injunction is vacated and suspension reinstated immediately - during the Cowboys bye week. This allows the NFLPA enough time to file an appeal and for the appeal to be heard and of course the injunction is reinstated. They don't take 5 weeks this time and didn't take 5 weeks to hear it before the season. Too convenient.
he'll play all season if he's even suspended at all.
If they can just challenge the ruling and continue playing. Whatever I hope Zeke continues to play. The Cowboys are certainly better with Zeke playing, but they aren't a team that can win the Super. Bowl. So Zeke will play they'll most likely miss out on the playoffs and end up with a pick around 20th overall. That's fine by me. If Zeke got suspended they'd probably end up picking closer to 10. So Giants fans shouldn't complain especially since our season is already over.
...comes around. It may take a while, but men that do those kinds of things don't change. He may escape justice now that he has "rich" friends pulling the strings...but someday when those rich friends piss him away in favor of a new piece of meat, he will face due justice eventually.
The NFL is proposing to doc him 37.5% of his pay for this year. The courts owe him an appropriate review of the league's ability to do that under the collective bargaining agreement. Sorry if it interfere's with your desire to see him miss certain games.

Completely wrong on every count. The CBA covers disciplinary rulings by the commissioner. The players gave him full authority. It's the judges that are wrong and other judges have already said so.
They tried that and the PR backlash was ridiculous (see Ray Rice).
Yeah, I know. So what? Take your lumps. Or if a team wants to employ them, that team should take the PR backlash. They do it all the time with questionable players -- as long as they think the guy will help them win, they've shown over and over that they'll take the heat.
And if the legal process determines a guy has paid, or owes no debt to society, the NFL shouldn't be taking away that player's livelihood, or be on the hook to hand out justice.
Even when the legal process fails, and guys who are pieces of shit walk free, how does the NFL square that circle by suspending them a few games? What does that prove? It's not like these suspensions make everything OK. How does suspending Rice or Elliot undo what they did?
Rice punches a woman and gets two games.
Brady allegedly deflates footballs and gets four games. Would he have only received two games had he punched the air out of the footballs?
It's too arbitrary. It's a no-win for league, player, or fan. And they'll keep doing it anyway, because the NFL gets EVERYTHING wrong.

Brady was not suspended for deflating footballs. But the disciplinary process for the NFL is a train wreck.
Not that he beat up a girl? I know plenty of quality guys that have been involved in bar fights. Terrible job by you and just another instance of people not being fair to Zeke.

But judges want to change laws....not follow it.
Almost makes you think the NFL is complicit.

2) With the Giants probably something like 3-9 at that point, they might be better off, long-term, if he plays.
Can only hope it gets pushed to the end of the season now and it screws them. Will serve the whole franchise right.
Fuck Jerry. Fuck Elliott. Fuck the Cowboys andtheir asshole fans.
It is quite common these days...
My thoughts exactly.
A tad overboard.
I'm not remotely sympathetic to Elliott, but you just wished injury and death on him. You don't see just a tad of irony in that?

He wished injury and death by saying go to hell?
Message = you can do what you want because you're an NFL player with tons of money on a prime time team....no worries
What a scum bag player, and scum bag organization he plays for.

Scroll up a bit more?
Plus, Zeke now thinks he's invincable which is good for us as Giants fans and disgustingly bad for women who cross his circle.
This has become more about the suspension than anything else.
What's going on with the woman he beat? Did she press charges? Is there a pending case for that?

Then gets the suspension for the first 6 games next season...screwing the cowboys over 2 seasons.

How exactly does it screw the Cowboys this year if he goes the entire season without being suspended?

It's not, unfortunately... I know Keith pretty well and this is very typical of him.
