NFT: Vancouver, BC tips

SFGFNCGiantsFan : 10/18/2017 10:01 am
Flying out to Vancouver tomorrow with some friends & family to spend the weekend/run a 10K on Saturday in Stanley Park. I haven't been to Vancouver since the late '90s so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the lay of the land if you will. Any must see attractions? Also, how's the craft brew scene there? Any breweries worth hitting up?

Thanks!

check out the farmer's market at Granville island too.

do the grouse mountain grind (a couple of days after the 10k) and the capliano suspension bridge

vij's restaurant

have a beer at earls or cactus club (waitresses have to submit a modeling portfolio in order to be considered for an interview!)

if you have time, do the 1.5-2 hour drive to whistler and stop off at the various lookout points along the way - do the peak to peak gondola ride at whistler

Ferry over to Victoria for a day is worthwhile.

Beautiful city, reminiscent of a small version of London, complete with red
double decker buses.

Beautiful. Go to Capilano state park. Way cool. They have a suspension bridge that you walk through in the tree tops. And it’s through a rain forest tree top. Highly recommend that.

bring a rain coat. The weather has been, and will be, cold and wet. You wont get the best out-door experience.

Let me know what you are in the mood for and I can point you at what we got.
