Interesting if not seen already. Here's what NFL 2016 draft profile had to say about him.
Pro Day Results
40-yard dash: 4.43 seconds (with wind)
Vertical: 34 inches
Broad jump: 9 feet, 10 inches
Short shuttle: 4.48 seconds
3-cone: 7.09 seconds
Bench: 6 reps of 225 pounds
Analysis
Strengths Slot receiver with kick and punt return experience. Returned two punts and two kickoffs four touchdowns in college. Rapid turnover in feet off the line of scrimmage and into routes. Consistent play speed in routes and does adequate job of selling them. Tight footwork allows for sudden stop-start quickness. Sinks hips into breaks and can slam on brakes and open quickly on comeback routes. Can elude first tackler after the catch. Not a classic hands catcher, but finishes his catches nonetheless.
Weaknesses Quicker than fast. Lacks the length and long speed to be a threat over the top. Needs more consistency of effort as blocker. Average acceleration out of break points and stems. Separation comes from footwork and not burst. Can be roadblocked from press coverage.
Draft Projection Round 7 or priority free agent
Bottom Line Eagan's ability to return kicks and punts could loom large as he attempts to fight for a roster spot this summer and into the fall. While Eagan might lack the size or speed to excite evaluators enough to draft him, scouts see him as a quality football player who has a chance to put himself in the mix for a roster spot if he can also convince a team that he has special teams value.

Similar to gallman in that sense, looks to speed up.

Agree. A HMWG who Belechick would put in the slot.

Like a guy who would thrive in the slot for the Patriots. Why not for the Giants?

I hate the expression HMWG - not all WGs are HM and many players of different ethnic and racial backgrounds play with a high motor. two of the best slot receivers in giants recent history i.e. Cruz and Steve Smith were amazing high motor slot players.

Very true, but there is something about this Eagan that tells me he probably has great hands, he knows where the sticks are and is a smart player. Do we know if he's a coach's son?

Lighten up Francis. It's said in jest. You don't need a safe space to hide from this one.
Returned two kickoffs and two punts FOUR touchdowns in college.
McConkey's role as a returner was to catch the ball and not screw up. He wasn't a dynamic returner or receiver for that matter. This kid might be a little quicker and a little better.
More in the mold of a Welker, Edelman, Amendola ....
Smart little guy that's very smart & quick, with just enough speed to be a constant pest. A perfect slot receiver.

I hope you're right. Players like that are very valuable.
Be careful you two, the PC police are watching
but a 7.09 three cone and only 6 reps? Guy obviously plays better than his numbers
If he can do that then the other guys can get the TDs.
If he can do that the other team's O is off the field.

sorry I don't see the humour in racial stereotypes.

Then don't ever watch "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" or "Blazing Saddles". Throw in "The Producers". Of course I find all to be hilarious

I've never seen those movies, so I can't comment, but the HMWG thing is not funny, at all. there is a bunch of racist code you hear from announcers and commentators that is overwhelmingly attributed to white players such as "lunch bucket" player or "high IQ". it insinuates that white players succeed on smarts and efforts and by contrast non white players do not exhibit those traits and get by on natural athleticism.

And it's also been used sarcastically by Zak DeOssie and others to poke fun at the whole concept.
Never seen "Blazing Saddles"? Good Lord.
