Well my point had nothing to do with whether or not Frank was a warranted selection at the Knicks spot in the draft.
My point was in response to whether or not he should be starting or playing a ton in Game 1 of the season.
It doesnt really matter if he was worth the pick or not at this point. He is who the Knicks have and that isnt going to change.
So at this point isnt a better to ask what will get him to be the most productive player he can be?
Given his age, his limited experience, his playing history and his preseason, I think he needs to be on the floor 10-15 ins a night in the early stages o the year to protect and develop him.
His assets as player though seem to be a great work ethic and attitude, plays defense very well, good court vision and poise. His standout quality is that he is very long, which cant be taught. This could help the Knicks develop an identity as Porzingas is too and can be the basis of a good defense. This is something Knicks have lacked since the 90s.He is very young and should continue to gain size, strength and get better with experience.
The Frank Ntkilina you see on the court today is not a finished product, he should have about 5 years of growth and development

It's not worth getting upset about. This team sucks. They're absolutely horrific. Just wish for losses and embarrassment. Maybe the team gets sold. Not happening. Not it's the only chance we have.
Easy to see how terrible we are though - defense is putrid, point guard play is garbage, no scorer on the second unit, coaching staff is a joke. I see 25 wins.
