I felt really bad for him. He knew it was bad right away and he kept saying, "I'm done, I'm done" and then it actually hit him that he was done and he lost it. Shame.
only positive is more minutes for younger guys. Hopefully Levert or Crabbe can really establish themselves at the 2. Russell looked really good setting things up last night, so there's that.
The silver lining here is more minutes for Caris Levert. I think he is a really nice fit next to Russell and he is probably the one Net that has a chance to blossom into a premier player. The Nets depth is pretty strong and I like the idea of Crabbe coming off the bench.
Some observations from the game last night:
Russell is going to be a stud. He put up what seemed like a pretty effortless 30 points in 30 minutes of play. I think that Marks is going to be receiving major praise by season's end for pulling off that trade.
Speaking of studs, how good is Myles Turner going to be? Talk about impressive.
Obviously Russell has the skills to become a premier player as well Â
And you could make the argument that the Cavs wound up the beneficiary of both. Heyward's injury weakens Cleveland's toughest competition and now Lin's injury should theoretically help the value of the Nets pick the Cavs got in the Irving trade.
Nets are a joke they are in worse shape than the Knicks Â
When do they get to have their First Round Pick???? because this team is picking top 4! for sure! its a lock! I guarantee! for the next two or three years! if not more!
ayo hitdog42 Lin might have been the difference of 5/6 games in the win/loss column, max... this Nets team almost has nothing to look forward to this season.
is going to be an issue vs certain teams this year. They were exploited last night. Mozgov can only play so many minutes.
Yeah if they can't give Mozgov more minutes against a team that has a big like Turner, they need to let Allen get some minutes. Can't play undersized at both front court positions.

A Knick fan has no right to make fun of any team haha (well, technically you can do whatever you want but it looks foolish)

Agreed - they need to find some semblance of an anchor on defense. Especially in games against true centers. Booker is overmatched.
