These guys need to look after each other more. This is nothign other than a blatant attempt to hurt Smith, how else can you explain a guy that's not pushed that jumps into his legs like that?
That's exactly the type of hit they should be suspending people for.
I get that sometimes, in flight plays can end up worse than players intended, but that ball was long gone before he left his legs, and he went straight for the knees.
he is constantly head hunting, i remember last year he hit will tye over the middle and then the refs picjed up the flag because he begged for no call...
2-4 game suspension if a Giant did it.
6 if OBJ did it.
A $10000 bonus if Greg Williams is your DC.
But..You know...its one of the NFLs favored teams...so.....
Some trying to claim he was tripped

I thought he was tripped, honestly. Or something. Just the way he fell forward. I don't really care, honestly (it's the Steelers, FFS), and it was close enough to looking intentional that it would probably draw a flag 100% of the time. But Alex Smith being so sure that it was a dirty hit mean nothing here.
I agree. I can't really tell if he intentionally dove or tripped/fell down. It looked pretty awkward either way. I suppose if the NFL is giving out a fine, they believe it was intentional.
Likely appeal, get it reduced to 24K...he's a Steeler, and the Union is on a role.
If it was Landon Collins: a 96K fine and 2-4 games..little support from the Union on appeal.
If he gets stuck with that, I hope his teammate pays it for him, because it really does look like #56 gives him a shove and sends him falling off balance into the Smith.
I just don't think it was as intentionally dirty as it looked.
Always hitting high. Using his head. Htiting late.
It's every year with the steelers. Somehow this franchise has managed to avoid the dirty label and I have no idea how. They are consistently in the middle of some of the nastiest cheap shot games and it's not a coincidence. They take out qbs all the time and not in clean fashion. Tomlin is an absolute clown. Tripping guys from the sidelines... god knows what else.

I buy his excuse.
Even the dirtiest player, which he's not, wouldn't do that to another player..
