is a 'gateway candy' for little kids. It acts like kiddie crack for the under 6 demographic. They get sugared-up and act like crazed Munchkins. After the Candy Corn phase the kids graduate to the hard-stuff... Three Musketeers, Snickers, Nestle Crunch, etc.
This I know painfully well because I had a Irish ex-pat who worked for me that was basically addicted to them - you can still get Mars bars on Amazon directly from the UK, but the Snickers Almond Bar is supposed to be the direct replacement for it in this market.
I was in high school and no doubt a bit too old to be out collecting candy on halloween. A few friends and I ring the bell at a house where a woman in her 60s lived. She apparently forgot it was Halloween. I said.. well let's see what you have in the fridge and walked in. Found a new box of Entennman's chocolate frosted donuts. Said this would work...took the box and walked out. I still feel bad about it but getting 8 choc donuts was definitely the highlight of that day.
and rather than inhale the remains I take it into the office.
And no matter how awful the candy, it will ALWAYS disappear from the break room. The office is the endless pit where anything and everything you may not want will always find a home (or a stomach).
and black licorice was right up there too. And for a couple of previous posters, think I pulled out a filling with a jujube candy at a movie in my youth.

Charleston Chew
I'll vote for these two also.
Haha! This. But we were a bit more unforgiving. We typically overthrew the yard and splattered that apple right upside the house. Good times.
But for overall worst, I think "Smarties" or maybe Necco Wafers. I'd rather eat Rolaids.

I love Charleston Chews.
Yah, Milky Way's suck....those and 3 Musketeers
Just bought 4 Clark bars at Cracker Barrel. They have them all the time
anything with coconut and chocolate combined is just a terrible idea.

Snickers, reese's, twix, hershey bars (milk chocolate or almond) are the best though.
This. Yuck
though Mary Janes and Candy Corn are putrid, maybe just as much so.
