WR Sterling Shepard (ankle) is questionable. Olivier Vernon (ankle), Jonathan Casillas (neck), Weston Richburg (concussion), Calvin Munson (quad) and Paul Perkins (ribs) are OUT.
Another easy week filling out the "inactive" list Â
I dont hate this. They really need to see what they have in these 2 players this season. Especially Jones. If he can have another good performance this Sunday, he can really make the case to be the starting C next year, and Richburg can be let go.
was hoping we could take advantage of a weak Seattle offensive line Â
with Vernon back. Now look for Seattle to double team JPP.
Not sure if we have other guys that can get home for pressure. Big game for Avery Moss, Kerry Wynn and Kennard.
Is there a reason why they bother to announce this on Friday? Â
I understood last week because they were traveling, but for a home game, why not wait until the last minute on Sunday when they're due? What's the benefit of declaring early?

Or is this just for today's practice?

But they don't have to announce inactives until Sunday. So why do they have to list anyone as "out" prior to that?

They have to list their status as in probable, questionable or out.
They do not have to make their inactive list available until Sunday, but with our injuries it us obvious what the inactive list is.
and a tad bit better then Richburg getting movement up front in the middle, but Sy thinks that Richburg is still the better of the two. I’m holding judgement until we see a little more of him, but to the untrained eye, he definitely seems like he is helping this Oline become more effective.

Richburg has only regressed since 2015.

This isn't accurate - there's no such thing as "probable" anymore. So what's the downside to just listing the players who are out as "questionable"? Why hand over any information?
Hopefully we can get a win and get healthier over the BYE week.

Sorry I think I misheard on this.

Please expand on this. I'd love to hear more from your excellent football mind.
Richburg being out is a huge positive. Brett Jones is a way better run blocker.
The rest of them are JAGs
