What did Frank play 8 minutes last night? Now he's hurt again?
In fairness, the little I've seen of him does not resemble a top 10 pick. At best he looks exactly like what almost every analyst I heard say about him. A guy that might develop into a solid role player a la George Hill.
Unrelated, have we found out why Hernangomez (the guy most of us think is a valuable asset to the team) didnt play virtually at all last night?

Hornacek basically said it was due to lack of defensive effort in pre-season from Willy.
Isn't Willy still kind of learning the new defensive system? I thought Hornacek tore up the old one and read that Willy was still learning what we're doing now.

Either way.. Knicks. Oy.
Well, that’s true of the whole roster. Besides, the point if the new system is that it’s less complicated.
But even that’s irrelevant. It was apparently about effort, not execution. I have no problem with teaching kids a lesson. This team above all needs effort. Now if he stays in the doghouse for weeks or months, that’s something else.
medicals from some teams and not others (by choice). That’s kind of bullshit. Every team should have the ability to see the medical info for players in the draft.

i believe kp did some stuff like that with philly..

Yeah, didn’t know that. It also sucks that players (some) don’t want to play here like they don’t in Philly. Bottom of the barrel.
Hopefully he can get in the weight room while he Â
Already since we drafted him. Weren't people concerned about Dennis Smith Jr and his injuries? This is a complete joke.
From Rotoworld:
"Dennis Smith Jr. (left knee effusion) will miss Friday's game vs. the Kings and Saturday's game vs. Houston.
He wasn't on the injury report, so this comes as a complete surprise -- he reportedly experienced the swelling after shootaround. Smith Jr. had a torn left ACL during his senior season in high school, so it's a little worrying that he has some swelling. There's no word on the severity, but hopefully we'll have some clarity after the game. Expect Yogi Ferrell and J.J. Barea to log heavy minutes Friday in a great matchup."
Despite the scary scene, a source close to the point guard said he just turned his ankle and was feeling much better while undergoing treatment Friday. The Knicks listed Ntilikina as questionable for Saturday’s home opener against the Pistons.

he steps on another players foot and now he’s injury prone? Made of glass? After the first game of his NBA career? Lol, what a joke.
This is like his fourth injury situation since the draft, lol.
He didn't play summer league, he didn't play preseason, and here we are again.
Kinda screwing with his ability to learn and get better.
So he had a knee and a groin in the preseason. And now he rolls his ankle. Two of these “injuries” were from collisions with teammates. And none of these injuries are remotely serious. He’s played one NBA game at 19 years old and he’s already been labeled injury prone, jello, made of glass. These things aren’t going to stunt his growth. It’s a long season. People need to relax.
Jello? Enough is enough and we were worried about DSJ?
To be dair, Smith missed last nights game because of a "knee effusion". I think Monk and Mitchell will be the guys the regret passing on.
If we are going to overreact about Ntilikina let’s not just ignore that both Monk and Mitchell look horrendous through 2 games, and Smith’s knee is already acting up after game 1.

It will certainly stunt his growth for this season if he never has an opportunity to work. And one of the goals for this season has to be to determine what if anything you have with this kid as it relates to the roster going forward. It's one regular season game, but a lot more practice time and preseason/summer games.
frank missed summer league because he got hurt the championship game of his league and was coming off a long season and the knicks decided to sit him...
there was no reason for him to play.
with the bone bruise hornacek said both he and kp would of played in thagmt last preseason game if it was a regular season game
to a slow start. There were some guys who looked awful at OKC. Kantor, Sessions, Baker in particular. If Willy didn't give the defensive effort necessary in training camp than Horny should sit his ass down. That's the proper message. Long term he is part of the young core. But he has to play at both ends of the court.
Ya know...

Yeah we’ve had no luck with Euros...Kristaps totally has the look of a European bust.

Right now I would rather read about Nick Snooze.
dude you got to get a new schtick, it is getting old
i believe kp did some stuff like that with philly..
you mean like kp or willy?
They actually have this saying on mugs at MSG now, it's a fan favorite.
You have to joke about it at this point, because there's no energy left to cry over this team.

He's only 19 SMH!
Good luck with that. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see teams lining up for Kanter and KOQ. There is an abundance of big men in the league right now.
Terrible news about Frank. I know he's young but the guy sure has been hurt a lot.
Optimistic. You've got them down for 31 wins? I call under.

Yes, people were concerned about DSJr's injuries.
Give him some significant time to develop..
