Well here we are folks. If I told you at the beginning of the season we as fans would be in a position to watch our team one game away from playing in the World Series - would you believe me? I still don't really believe it NOW! It has been an absolute pleasure to watch this team and they have far exceeded even my wildest expectation.
Tonight we have Redemption Part II as the Yankees face a pitcher who has had excellent postseason success against them dating back to his early days with Detroit. Much like Keuchel the other night - he pitched absolutely lights out in Game 2 - and here is a chance to erase that memory and stamp their tickets to the World Series. If anyone can do it, it's our boys.
The. World. Fuckin. Series!
Unfortunately, my son has a football playoff game tonight and I will not be in my customary spot on the couch watching intently, sipping my voddy and beer, chatting with you fine people on BBI. HOWEVER, I will be bringing a bit of the good stuff with me and I will be streaming the game from the stands. Wouldn't miss this one! No way, no how. All hands on deck!
Can't wait.
LGY.
Another dupe fuckstain. You smell like shit.

Does Robertson get the ball tomorrow? He's starting to look worn down
Absolutely. Hes a vet who's pitched great this post season. Hell shake it off.
Probably right, but I don't think he's the first guy out of the pen tomorrow. CC-Kahnle-Chapman, I imagine is the optimal scenario

He won't be anywhere near full rest if he pitches tomorrow.
Hss still better on short rest at home than basically anybody else they have
If they got to him on full rest, they should be able to get him on short rest. He's not going to be pitching for that long, either.
Same goes for Kuechel, who I don't believe has ever done it before. We just hit him, if they want to bring him in as a reliever, I'll take my chances.
This team is made for games like tomorrow (or so to this point it seems).. LET'S FUCKIKG GO!!!

Same here..

They used him in that role in G5 of the 2015 ALDS vs Kansas City...got shelled

is Madison Bumgarner, able to just come in from the pen on short rest and throw like usual. Nationals just saw that with Scherzer in game 5.

Interesting...and their pen remains shaky.
Hicks finally gets the walk he should have had last AB
Bring it home CC
FUCK this Houston team.. LET'S GO BOYS
Holy shit.. doesn't get more than this.. I will tell you this.. next time around we will have home field advantage.
Would have been nice if you weren't so fucking negative every god damned game too, but how's that working out for the rest of us?

God, you're such a sensitive pussy, haha. Wah?
I'll bring it home tomorrow if you want.
Won three.
Lost a horseshit cocksucker tonight.
We'll be ready to roll tomorrow.
If we can't win this game (Morton vs CC) then we don't deserve to win... let's go!!!
Combination of losing a bit of control and getting squeezed by the ump. Lead off Walk never a good thing.
Great perspective
Let's go CC!!!

Exactly. Verlander faced the same issue too (wildness combined with changing strike zone) in his final 2 innings, but he and McCann have been in the Majors since Luis and Gary Sanchez were 11/12 years-old. I think experience helped them battle through it.
This game came down to 3 PAs... McCann, Sanchez, and Hicks. I hated the pitch selection to McCann when the count evened out. Why give a guy struggling so badly anything to hit with 2 strikes? Sanchez just got fooled 3-0 by a pair of old vets. Even though there were 2 outs, Verlander was really struggling there and on the ropes. Gary will learn from that. Hicks got completely robbed and that call on a 3-1 pitch really changed the complexion of the entire game. I know the Yankees were the fortunate recipients of some questionable calls last night, but that pitch to Hicks should never be a strike under any circumstances. The HP ump's strike zone seemed to be dependent on what the count was and not on whether the pitch was actually a strike or a ball.
That was an ugly performance by Robertson last night, but we have to hope he does better tonight. I think Kahnle might be the first guy out of the 'pen tonight and any thoughts on how the 'pen will be used has to take into consideration that Chappy will go 2 innings.

If we need to go to the pen early, I suspect Joe may go with Warren. I assume he’s counting on 2 innings if necessary from both Kahnle and Chapman.
I’m sure Robertson is ready again too, he’s a veteran with enough big game experience to shake off that bad inning last night
I’d think the only guys not in the plans unless an emergency are Green and Betances
I like CC on the mound but it's all hands on deck.
I still can't believe they've gotten this far. Good luck boys. Let's win one and move on to LA.
