Last night was a clusterfuck. Some strikezone we witnessed. Awesome. But that's over now and we're right where we want to be. I'm ready to battle again and I'm sure you guys are too.
Game 7 for all the marbles. Still in good shape and facing a pitcher starting for the first time this series. But he'll be tough for sure. Gotta get into their bullpen and CC has to be CC. And the bats need to come alive again - this time in a very hostile environment.
We play today, we win today, das it.
LGY.
Why can't the Astros beat the Dodgers? I find Altuve to be a douche and don't particularly care for this group of Astros players, but why will it be a boring series?
I probably won't watch much of it, but I think the Astros have a chance

But God, I sacrifice a Giants win tomorrow for a Yankees win tonight. Bye guys. lol
I’d sacrifice the remainder of the Giants shitty season for a Yankee win tonight.
That's like trading a half eaten old ham sandwich for a trip to the WS.

The Dodgers will beat the Astros in no more than 5. Pity, the Yanks would have given LA a much better series

Can see their offense completely locked up by LA's pitching. Also think the Dodgers offense will hit Keuchel and Verlander better than we did

and Roberts will run all over that fossil McCann
NO way do we give Tanaka another 5 years, add on to his existing contract, but not another 5 years.
Like I said a couple of times, this is nowhere near a finished product. The Astros pretty much are a finished product that will get no better than they are now.
We've got Gleyber, Andujar, Chance Adams, Justus Sheffield, Clint Frazier and possibly Estevan Florial waiting in the wings
Yankees are emotionally spent at this point. I doubt anyone on this team remembers the last 3 innings.
Bandwagon garbage.
Bandwagon garbage.
Houston was never a baseball town, this is kind of true
They most likely will. Houston matches up terribly with them
Absolutely. A good offseason and we'll definitely be representing the AL next year in the World Series. They met a team that was at least 2-3 years ahead of them in terms of team development who will get no better than they are now
Hats off to the Astros. Great baseball team with a ton of talent who a heck of a season while representing a city that went through an unimaginable disaster.
The future is bright.
Remember, their fan base was so pathetic they got booted from the national league.
This doesn't feel anywhere near as bad as 2001...remember 9/11 happened so that year was extra emotional and I remember wanting the title that year more than anything

no way. Losing game 7 of the World Series is worse than losing the ALCS 100 times out of 100
Plus NY was scarred by 9/11
Get the fuck out of here. That was THE worst. That and Super Bowl 35 in the same year. BRUTAL.

yeah exactly, we had a little perspective. 2001 was and may always be my favorite World Series. Just the way they fought when they had not business winning any games in that series.
Not even close.
You have to be kidding. This isnt even a blip on the radar screen compared to 2001. Comparing them would be ridiculpus, saying this one is so much worse is mind numbing
Thanks to everyone who contributed to another season of Yankees threads on this board. See you | Next year.

2001 was the absolute worst...we were reeling from 9/11 and the Yanks helped heal the city with that postseason run. I'd trade any of the other World Series years where we won for a title that year
Pathetic Mets fan troll
What Cashman really needs to do is figure out how to get rid of Castro and Ellsbury. Castro can provide some hitting during the season but he's a negative in the playoffs. Hopefully Torreyes would be able to hold 2B down until Torres is ready. Ellsbury is just useless dead weight. I suppose they'd have to package a good prospect or two with him just to get rid of him and I doubt that's happening. I would include Headley in there but he only has one year left and they seem to like him as somewhat of a 1B/3B/DH utility guy now.
drink some fucking gas and die...wtf
