that can make better adjustments with the same roster...McAdoo has his head up his ass all season long.
Maybe the group they had opening day. This group? There's no amount of adjusting that's going to get one of those receivers open on this secondary. Add in that the QB can't cause a breakdown with his feet and it's a wrap.
And coaching staff, it will be very hard to muster any enthusiasm. This is like a four year black spiral downward.
Well, brace yourself now because they likely will.
As much as I want Barkley, they're likely going to draft a QB and attempt to sell the resurrection of the franchise on his back, trying to play off the problems else where.
of the worse offensive performances I have ever seen from the Giants. There will be many excuses. Eli is missing most of his weapons, the Seahawks have a great defense, etc. None are valid. We were completely uncompetitive.
We have no big play ability, and no run game. Engram is the only weapon. Eli is facing a lot of cover 2 looks with backup WRs. But that was still an unbelievably bad performance. We got one TD off a short field from a turnover. How many passes did we completely to a WR? Five? Six?
On defense, Baldwin killed us all day, especially on third down.
Denver lost 21-0 to LAC, so maybe they're nearly as bad.
The season is gone and we know there's no chance for the playoffs with Geno Smith. It probably won't happen because McAdoo thinks he'll be retained if the Giants finish 4-12 rather than 2-14.
what did Hart do to get blamed for everything? He blocked Bennett very well. Fluker and Jones gave up the fumble sack.
Hart is not that good, but he had one bad play. There were others with much worse games, far worse.
we suck at it! We are horrible drafting Oline and they have to do that. How many Free Agents can you bring in? We won’t have the funds. Maybe could sign one.

agreed...talking more about 0-5 with no adjustments...at least he gave the play calling duties away and shuffled the O-line the last 2 weeks...too little, too late.
With all the starters going down he is someone the Giants needed to count on, but it seems like he's rarely in the spot where Eli is throwing the ball. Engram may be the only receiver Eli can rely on - that's no good.
Must be fired. Now. Send the massage. Prepare to get new management in place before the off-season, the next free agency period and draft, and get that new GM to pick the next Head Coach. Forget the rest of this season and, most likely, at least the next two seasons. That's how bad and hollowed out this team is.
take Baldwin, Graham, and Lockett away from Wilson.
Not the only problem - but how can any team can lose 1st 3wrs and not be impacted?
yeah we were lighting it up before our 3 WRS got hurt. We have been one of the worst offenses in the league for a couple of years leading up to that day when the three WRs got hurt.
run game this week. One would think that with the 4 starting WRs all out that they would come up with some runs. Last week it was helmet on helmet, quick hits, this week, dumbass reverse that lost 8 yards. Just dumb crap.
I'm guessing if you put Brady or Rogers back there you see a competent offense. Not saying they would win but it wouldn't look like this.
Rodgers, maybe. They'd still be bad with Brady though, with this coaching staff and surrounding cast.
If we're literally saying the only way to have a mediocre, likely still non-winning offense is to have possibly the greatest combo of talent the NFL has seen in a QB, that's pretty much admitting how messed up this situation is though.
yeah we were lighting it up before our 3 WRS got hurt. We have been one of the worst offenses in the league for a couple of years leading up to that day when the three WRs got hurt.
We've scored 20 points in a game more often than Seattle this season, even after today. We had the lead with 3.5 minutes remaining in the game 4 weeks straight.
Being 1-6 is really a team-wide, top to bottom issue... not just the offense.

you are setting the bar too low. We have a defense that is good enough to take a team with an average offense into the playoffs. The offense cannot get out of its own way and if our defense has a mediocre day then we have no shot to win.
Was never taylored to Eli's strengths. Now it's completely devoid of talent and Eli is chucking and ducking like only he can.
Eli is not helping anything here right now. To that point there is no debate. The offense sucks balls now for over 20 games straight. Everyone is guilty.
Eli is a declining version of what he has been. His play has devolved over the past couple of years and a horrible front line, receivers that are not NFL ready and a coaching regime that has not, and maybe cannot, coach these players up makes this season a foregone conclusion.
What we have seen from Janoris , DRC , Apple and Collins this year is enough roof of how fans and coaches overvalue players.

Yep... one big fucking Giant mess. Pun intended.

I hate to say it, but I don't want to see Eli get Engram killed out there. I love Eli, but it's really over.

The defense was handed the lead late in three games when the season was still alive and failed in all of them. Before these last two weeks, they're were getting gashed on the ground like they were working a corner for a living.
I'm not going to shed tears for them or worry about what we're wasting when they very much contributed to killing this season before it even really started.
but not with the NYG.
He needs a year to reflect on his shortcomings, including you cannot pretend to be Bill Belichick (or Mike McCarthy) unless you have Bill or Mike's record.
That is bad news for Eli. Instead of the Golden Years we envisioned in the spring, Manning must either mentor his replacement next year or move on to some team that could use his still effective talents.
Webb is the future. Don't waste a high pick on another QB. Davis was criticized for the same things as Watson; never played under center, inaccurate, not used to a huddle etc. IMO NFL QBs of the future are mobile, but not primarily runners (RGIII). Davis fits that mold.
Give Webb a uniform for the remaining games and put him in EVERY time the game is lopsided, either way. Heroics of 4Q comebacks are meaningless this year.
Start Eli in 2018 (keep his string alive) but trade him the next year.
The NYG have a young WR and TE core (Marshall needs to be cut at the end of the year) and I think Gallman will be a "solid RB" who will get you the needed yards. (Draft Lightning for explosion.)
I still have faith in Spags and his system.
Blame Eli for this three ring circus . Blame Collins DRC
and the defense for spending the entire game on the field with the average starting position at the 35 ? You can't be serious there has been ZERO continuity in this offense since pre-season . They couldn't score and run the ball last year either . Talent you say begins in the trenches and has been an absolute failure especially on offense and no better at the RB position . There is no depth and rarely do lower round picks pan out . This falls at the Feet of Jerry Reese and his staff . He needs to go I know its doubtful but it's not unreasonable .
The Mac hire is an absolute failure he inspires no one his in game coaching use of timeouts players replay challenges
and his offense never suited Eli it took a prolific OBJ
to be the offense and eventually the over use got him injured and the same will happen with Engram I am afraid as
you see him get tagged by Sherman who did make a great play on the lone deep shot .
To watch this team be embarrassed especially on the Defense because once again they wore down . Snacks still wanted a piece of some dude long after the game . Mark this one on your calendar as pay back down the road .Fuck Bennett and the other scumbags on this team . Carroll does coach them up all game long while MacHandley stands around emotionless like a tree stump .
The refs sure didn't help the BS TD that Collins came down with the ball as they were comind down the ball came loose and Collins kept the receiver from wrestling it away .
Then the obvious push off of Apple was another no call .

Guess it's over, call it a day
Sorry that it had to end this way
No reason to pretend
We knew it had to end some day, this way
Yes, it's over, the kicks are gone
What's the use of tryin' to hang on?
Somewhere we lost the key
So little left for you and me and it's clear to see
I honestly don't understand what a lot of you expected Â
1) We could never really run the ball
2) Our strength was our passing game, which is now gone since we lost our top 4 WR's.
We now have practice squad type players at WR. A good team would shift to a running dominated game. We have tried that, but we can't run even when healthy. Its pretty simple.
Maybe the group they had opening day. This group? There's no amount of adjusting that's going to get one of those receivers open on this secondary. Add in that the QB can't cause a breakdown with his feet and it's a wrap.

It's a good time to get rid of the GM and let a new voice come in.
I'd get rid of McAdoo too, [a cardboard cut out of parcells] can to stand out on the sidelines the rest of the year.
This team is horrible and has been for years.

Did like what I saw from Moss.

no, but it started the tailspin...just bad mojo. No false start, closer by 5 yards, maybe Rosas hits the FG and we're still in it...
Rodgers, maybe. They'd still be bad with Brady though, with this coaching staff and surrounding cast.

And yeah, bitch all you want because this didn't lose the game since the Offense can't move the ball on their own.
Blame the WRs??...no way. Even practice squad players need to be able to get open every now and then. Eli and this offense are painful to watch.
we kind of suck...
Although I love starting TEs against the Giant defense on my fantasy football team. Score every week!
sure.. Chris Mara is getting fired. You are too funny.
By the way, I love a Swedish massage
2010 Mitch Petrus
2011 James Brewer
2012 Brandon Mosely / Matt McCants
2013 Eric Herman
Rest assured we have the right guy in Reese to fix things come Draft Day 2018!

Agree 100% it is amazing how many people here will spend so much time watching and chatting online about football and still do not know the rules.
The other thing is if you want to place blame on that TD, then point to Eli for fumbling and Collins for mis-timing his jump and not deflecting it.

...shocker.
Do you throw big FA money at him, or let him walk?
Or, will he settle for something less because he's not the healthiest lineman in the NFL?
