Defensive Tackle Damon Harrison

Postgame vs. Seahawks, October 22, 2017

Q: You didn’t get much support from the offense today, right?

A: I wouldn’t say that, we had the lead, 7-3. The game could’ve ended, 7-3. You don’t need any support when you have the lead.

Q: What were the things that the defense was doing well early that got away from you later in the game?

A: I really can’t say, I haven’t had a chance to watch the film to form an opinion like that. So, we’ll dive into it tonight, get a chance to look at it the next couple of days and I’ll be able to better tell you.

Q: Did you feel like the defense had some good things going?

A: Yeah, anytime you hold the offense to three points at half, something like that, you always feel good about what you’re doing. But in the second half, we just didn’t execute.

Q: Where do you go from here with the Bye Week coming up? Do you take some time away, do you look at what has gone wrong?

A: You do everything. You try to do everything, but at the end of the day, we have a job. Playing football is our job. You try to get some time to get a clear mind, clear head, but you’ve got to stay in it.

Q: Does the offense missing several key players put pressure on the defense?

A: I can’t speak on the offense, I can only speak on the guys on the defense.

Q: Being on the field for so long, did the defense feel worn down at all?

A: We didn’t get off the field on third down. The run defense put the third down defense in some bad spots and we weren’t able to get off the field.

Q: Do you feel like the defense was pressing a little bit?

A: I wouldn’t say that. From down on the field, I don’t think so. But again, the film may reveal something different. So, we get a chance to watch it.

Q: What was it like trying to keep Seattle out of the end zone on the defensive red zone stop in the first half?

A: Well, it’s tiresome for a guy like myself and the bigger guys. Anytime you get a team down like that and second or third down, you expect to get off the field and then kick a field goal. But it was an extended drive, so I think that was one of the things that hurt us at the end of the day.
