McAdoo Better leave ELI alone...............

Millburn : 11/7/2017 4:14 pm
This isn't on ELI, no receivers,no O line and no run game and you want to blame the QB? It's stupid,it's beyond stupid,it's ignorant.
Three overthrown

passes in Sundays game and of that two were to King in the last minute of the 1st half on consecutive plays. Missing Shepard early on another drive. Two fumbles and a bad INT...

Eli has missed a few open deep balls this year.

I like Eli as much as many, but he's not immune to criticism, either. Nobody is at 1-7.
Eli has been far from perfect
Rjanyg : 11/7/2017 4:24 pm : link
But we knew, all of US knew, he needed O Line help and we needed to get out of 11 personnel 90% if the time.

But our arrogant Head Coach and GM thought otherwise.

The only reason we are running the ball so much now is out of necessity otherwise we would be throwing it more, with our O Line being exposed and our QB getting killed and throwing more picks.

This is mostly on Reese and McAdoo
Leave ELI alone!!!

He better?

You do realize that it's not about blaming Eli, right? It's about seeing what Webb can do in a season that's already basically over and a top-five draft position coming up. They would be negligent if they didn't ensure that they had as much self-scouting on Webb as possible before they consider drafting a potential franchise QB prospect. Unfortunately, the CBA doesn't allow for enough practice time to use practice alone to make those decisions.

Eli is going to be 37 years old, has only two years left on his contract and has started to look like he might be declining physically (tough to tell because of the factors you mention, but also somewhat likely because of his age). There comes a time to start preparing for life after Eli - there's no harm in starting to prepare now.

The whole "McAdoo better not" refrain comes across like you're more of a fan of Eli than you are of the Giants.
Eli is playing like crap.

...he needs to sit the bench. He’s not helping the team win. I remember when Phil Simms went down and how everybody said the Giants are done. Hostetler came in and took them to SB XXV. He could run wild where Simms was planted in concrete. He wasn’t even considered a starting QB but a mop up QB at that time. Keep in mind he didn’t come in when the season was lost with 8 games to go. He came in at the worse possible time for Simms to get hurt. Right before the playoffs. Eli is sickening to watch. I’m doors but he is and I don’t care why. Blame it on OL if it makes you feel better.

"McAdoo Better leave ELI alone"

Or else what????
Is it Eli,
Doomster : 11/7/2017 5:24 pm : link
or the line, lack of receivers, no running game, etc.?

No one knows until Eli goes to a team better suited to his talents than Mac's offense....

If he sucks, he was part of the problem....If he excels I will never forgive the Mara's....for wasting him for 6 seasons...,.
Eli is part of the problem, his skills have fallen off and it seems

his arm strength is not what it once was. His deep passes are late or over thrown, his short stuff is off target. I love what Eli has done for the us Giants fans and it saddens me to see him playing on a bad team.
eli definitely
japanhead : 11/7/2017 6:00 pm : link
didn't play especially well on sunday, but it's maybe worth remembering that throughout his career he has always done this.. it is more glaring now that the team is in the toilet, but even in his best years he has always been good for 1-2 games where he is god awful.

You know nothing about football and are probably one of the many here who are amazed that hair is growing around your pecker. Eli is the only professional football player on the Giant roster. The rest of them are just collecting a paycheck to run around.

I try to understand what it takes to internet defend a grown man who is paid tens of millions to play a game, so deeply that I would get all riled up like I actually knew him. But weird is weird I guess.

For the first time in his life hits the nail on the head.
Unfortunately Giants' biggest offensive weakness is pass protection.
Reese's Pieces : 11/8/2017 2:22 am : link
When you have an immobile quarterback, that weakness really stands out. If the Giants had a young, mobile QB, the lousy pass protection would not stand out so much.

We've all seen mobile quarterbacks sidestep the pass rush and scramble around. Dak has run the ball three or four times in every game and rushed for an average of 8 yards per carry. Three touchdowns and one fumble.

The blame, IMHO, goes to Reese. Three years with the primary objective of the offseason was to improve the protection of Eli, and somehow the protection has gotten worse. On some plays, where the offensive lineman plays matador and lets the DT or DE run past him like he didn't exist, Eli has less than two seconds to unload the ball.

It was Reese's responsibility to put together a line that could protect Eli for the final years of his career and he failed. His "Plan A" for this year, keeping the same line together and hoping that another year of playing together as a unit wasn't without some merit, where was "Plan B."
Morons bashing Eli
