there are Yankee updates right after the season ends but the baseball offseason goes so fast. We will be turning the clocks ahead and eyeing opening day before you know it.
I know we are biased, but I think we are all pretty fair here when it comes to evaluating league talent. I dare you to find a better all around LF in baseball let alone the AL...
Judge was up against tougher competition, though Â
outfield is tremendous defensively. Hicks is a superb center fielder. Judge is good (but perhaps a tad overrated by the surprise at what he can do at his size), and Gardner is excellent as well.
No shame in losing to Betts, Buxton, or Gordon. All three of them are excellent.
He is 3rd behind, Hicks #1 and Gardy #2. Hicks has better range and the better arm. Gardy has better range and a more accurate arm. Still a damn good fielder.
Thompson is getting a courtesy interview for being with the organization for 30 years. I'm 35 years old, I have his autograph on his profile page in an Albany Colonie Yankees program from like, 1992.
Heard this morning that both Cone and Flaherty expressed interest Â
If the baseball decisions are being driven by the front office (and I'm not sure how much I believe that anyway), then doesn't the manager's primary responsibility become running the clubhouse?
Granted, there's reason to take fielding metrics with a grain of salt, but Gardner was terrific.

Which one is Thomson?
Cone would be interesting - isn't he big on analytics?
