Allbright: "Players hate McAdoo"

DanMetroMan : 11/8/2017 4:20 pm
New York Giants players reportedly don't trust head coach Ben McAdoo, and it could lead to his dismissal following the 2017 NFL season.

On Wednesday, Benjamin Allbright& #8207; of Mile High Sports Radio provided information from a source who said he'd be "shocked beyond belief" if McAdoo returns to the G-Men next year.

"[Players] hate him, no one trusts him," the source added. "... He's only out for himself."

I honestly don't give a shit if they like him or hate him.

Are their checks still clearing? They have a responsibility to show up on time and play hard.

This garbage is making me hate this team infinitely more than anything McAdoo has done.

Its certainly not uncommon

that a team in the midst of a miserable season will turn on each and other and the coaching staff.

I'm not sure what to make of a report from "Mile High Sports Radio" though -- seems random. This show is based in Denver?

They respected him week 17 last year when they had literally nothing to play for. It's easy to be a pro and a stand-up person when things are going great, but the true test of character is how one conducts themselves when they aren't going well. This team is failing that test.
Hating the coach is okay, but not trusting the coach is a problem. A

NFL odds: Las Vegas has ominous outlooks for Eli Manning, Ben McAdoo

Manning has 1-2 odds of being benched as Giants quarterback at some point this season, according to MyTopSportsbooks.com, while McAdoo is currently the favorite to be the first NFL coach fired before the end of the season.

Why would we believe what I assume is a Denver-based radio guy?

And what about "he only looks out for himself" or whatever it was? If he's self-interested, then he'd REALLY want to field a good, stable team, no? The shit out on the field is somehow advancing his interests?
I don't understand
Gman11 : 11/8/2017 4:34 pm : link
"He's only out for himself."

If he is, then he would be fielding a winning team.

He could have blamed everything on Jerry Reese, but instead said that "we're tied at the hip."

So what does that quote even mean?

"McAdoo has lost this team," one player who asked to remain anonymous told Anderson. "He's got us going 80 percent on Saturdays before we get on a plane to play a game. It's wild. Changed our off day. He's dishing out fines like crazy. Suspended two of our stars when we need them the most. Throws us under the bus all the time. He's ran us into the ground and people wonder why we've been getting got."

Exactly, that's why I think when fans preach coaches lost their team, who cares!! Granted, it's a results oriented business, and if he deserves to be fired, the front office will know best, but I remember countless times when fans crowed Tom Coughlin's losing the team, players aren't playing hard for him...bullshit!! A made up excuse for a shitty product on the field.
A lot of guys didn't like Parcells either or
Thatís Gold, Jerry : 11/9/2017 9:12 am : link
Coughlin, certainly, but they did respect them. This is Mr. Slickback's problem...his players don't trust or respect him.

I agree in terms of I could care less if they like him or not but there has to be respect for the coach and trust. If that is not there, it's all over.
