Fate of Slade Poll

Facts:

1. Slade is full of it and has no inside info.
2. Slades fake info gets tons of activity on bbi.
3. Nobody comes to bbi for real football info, other than what people post on the forum that's breaking news from other avenues. How many people actually visit the antiquatede home page for football content? I'd guess less than 10% of posters.
4. The actual football content on bbi is severely lacking compared to real football sites.


Having said all that, Slade is a great fit for bbi.

You'd be surprised at how many BBI'ers tell me they only visit the front page and stay off the Forum.

stop catering this site to the lowest common denominator of deplorable posters and trolls with no regard for the truth or for having intelligent discussion. Why are you even considering keeping someone around who continues to peddle fake news?

It's as if this has been going on since 2015, really picked up through 2016, and now in 2017 it has made BBI almost unbearable.

Reminds me of that drag the Eagle guy who I thought was a fake until people started telling me they met him at tailgates. A lot of people wanted him gone while others said, he's real and doing no harm. Then he started posting crap that got him in trouble.

Opinions vary. The front page look is dated but not ridiculously so. We'll upgrade it again at some point.

Personally, I think the content is on par with most other sites. Take for example, Sy's draft previews and the game reviews over the years (Joey, Sy, rnargi, etc). Camp reports used to be better because of Albany - the move to East Rutherford really hurt us there, but this past year gidiefor and Sy did great with the camp reports. Their videocasts from camp were the best I've seen from the various outlets in terms of actual substance and interviews.

During the season, the front page is largely a compilation of the days news... injury report, interviews, transactions... my feeling is that is what most people want... a quick summary of what transpired in the day and they can then pick and choose whether or not they want to dive into a particular interview or article.

At least Rich was funny or tried to be.. Slade makes this one liner bold statements with no follow up. I think that is what really infuriates posters. You can be wrong but don't make these bold claims and then disappear without owning it. I think he is a fraud and should be banned.

That said, as you can see, it's 50/50 right now with the masses on whether he should stay or go. I was hoping for a more decisive result.

This is why I'm adamant he should be banned. I saw the title and almost messaged my friends, who would have roasted me. Eric's been clear that people shouldn't post rumors as facts.

Come on guys...if you don't really want to believe what Slade has to say, don't read his posts. Or read them, but don't take into account anything he has to say. Whether he's just gotten lucky or not, he has been right some of the time, and at the very least it makes for good chatter and entertainment value.

This is the worst I've felt as a Giants fan in a really, really long time, and I certainly am not coming to BBI to hear how Chris Casher's workout went.

For a site like this, a hard line about having no fake news regarding the Giants should be of highest priority.

Rich didn't just try to be funny - he posted after one game that he knew first hand Osi needed surgery (and to have pins inserted into his leg) and was going to be out for the season.

Didn't happen, obviously. Apparently, the alleyway behind the Tick Tock Diner was not the hotspot for NFL intel he thought it was.
