For weeks the NYT has been prepping a story about Louis CK and calling everyone in the comedy world and Hollywood, my sources have received calls...it appears that story will be published soon. Per @THR the premiere for his movie has been cancelled.

"We've heard from several sources that this shameless funnyman whips it out at the most inopportune moments, often at times when his female companions have expressed no interest in watching him go at it. A representative example: At the Aspen Comedy Festival a few years ago, he invited a female comedy duo back to his hotel room. The two ladies gladly joined him, and offered him some weed. He turned it down, but asked if it would be OK if he took his dick out.
Thinking he was joking (that's exactly the kind of thing this guy would say), the women gave a facetious thumbs up. He wasn't joking. When he actually started jerking off in front of them, the ladies decided that wasn't their bag and made for the exit. But the comedian stood in front of the door, blocking their way with his body, until he was done.
One of the ladies was so shaken by the episode that she complained to the festival's organizers about the comedian's behavior. She promptly received a call from his extremely powerful manager explaining that, if she valued her career, she would drop it. She valued her career.
When we contacted the victim to check out the story, she wrote back: "first of all, your facts are wrong. and secondly, i don't want to be a part of this story. i'm sure you understand." When we asked her which facts were wrong and if the incident ever happened at all, she wrote: "please don't contact me about this matter anymore. Breast of luck to you.""
Until there's someone willing to step up and say "this person did this to me", nothing will happen.
Danielle Vasinova filed suit hours after Herjavec filed a lawsuit against her, claiming she tried extorting him for $20 million by making false claims in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
It's like flood gates are open (and they should be - if reports are true), though it seems like this climate is ripe for someone innocent to be swept up in all the allegations.
lastly, there are some weird dudes in hollywood and politics.
I guess the answer is no

While I enjoy a lot of these guys who have been preaching morality from their glass houses for the past 18 months getting exposed as hypocrites to the nth degree I'm finding this whole hollywood scene crazier by the day.
(In an emailed statement to VICE, Bruce Hills said that his issue was with the author's approach to asking questions, rather than the questions themselves. "My intent was to keep our awards ceremony as a celebratory event," he wrote. "In doing so, I was in no way defending nor aware of any allegations towards talent. If Ms. Koester wanted talent to comment on the record, we would hope she go through the proper journalistic protocols, be forthcoming with her intentions and request a full interview. We always ensure all talent at our festival have fair notice and opportunity to decide if they wish to address such questions with a representative of the press.")

Roy Moore set to campaign with James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family
He's still pretty busy. I really recommend The Exception, where he plays Kaiser Wilhem, in exile in Holland.

Wow... I think that is against one of the 10 commandments

Nope - he's free and clear in that sense. Didn't get married until years later.
It sounds like Louis is likely a creep, but that's not really that the best example IMO. I can think of much more inopportune moments than getting high in a private hotel room after a show.
As soon as they sat down in his room, still wrapped in their winter jackets and hats, Louis C.K. asked if he could take out his penis, the women said.
They thought it was a joke and laughed it off. “And then he really did it,” Ms. Goodman said in an interview with The New York Times. “He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating.”
In 2003, Abby Schachner called Louis C.K. to invite him to one of her shows, and during the phone conversation, she said, she could hear him masturbating as they spoke. Another comedian, Rebecca Corry, said that while she was appearing with Louis C.K. on a television pilot in 2005, he asked if he could masturbate in front of her. She declined.

Anyway, what the hell is with the jerking off in front of people? What a bizarre fuckin' urge.

Which establishment falls harder? The NFL or Hollywood?
As humans, we have a weird tendency to idolize people we know nothing about because we feel we can relate to them, think they are funny, etc. In truth, we know nothing of these people and I think in 2017 we're discovering more and more the truth that it is all too prevalent that men have received powerful exceptions in a male-power society.
The stories about him in the NY Times piece are gross and perverted.
Incident 1: asked two women if he could whip it out and masturbate. They said yes, thinking he was joking. He was not joking.
Incident 2: Masturbated over the phone while talking to a woman. I think this is the worst one.
Incident 3: Asked a woman if they could go to his dressing room so he could masturbate in front of her. She said no, he didn't and said he had issues.
Incident 4: Asked a woman if she would watch him masturbate. She agreed.
Again, it's all gross and perverted. He made the women feel uncomfortable and owes them all apologies. Per the article, he reached out to Incident 2 and Incident 3 later on and did apologize for his behavior, though one of them was for the wrong thing.
I guess my point in all this is to separate him from some of these other people being discussed in the news. He didn't expose himself to a woman who said no when he asked if he could, and there are no accusations that he ever laid a hand on any of them, or coerced them into having sex with him, etc.
I think the biggest harm in all of this is if people affiliated with him in powerful positions leaned on these women to stay quiet and that their careers were potentially derailed by not wanting to work near or with people linked with him.
But I think it's a far different situation than cases like Weinstein, Toback, Bryan Singer, Cosby, etc.
Tom Hanks
George Clooney
?
McConaughy is a good one

George Clooney

George Clooney is a piece of shit. He mocked Charlton Heston for having Alzheimer's. Then he refused to apologize.
You can already cross him off the list.
I like Matt Damon a lot and so his complicity in Harvey Weinstein and Casey Affleck allegations were disappointing to say the least.
...except for Rogers. Everything I've read and seen says he was a truly remarkable individual, and I'd have a real hard time processing him being a lowlife POS in private.

Maybe I'm a perve but Honestly, those don't sound that bad at all. He asked permission every time and when they said no he didn't do it.
Umm, the very first one listed is an instance of the women saying no and him doing it anyway.

It pretty clearly states they said yes. Or at least gave visual signs to that effect.

FWIW, Clooney did say he sent a letter of apology to Heston before he died, and got a "really nice letter" back from his wife - who is still alive and could refute that if it weren't true.
But him asking to masturbate in front of these women and then doing it to the women that said (or gestured) yes and apologizing for asking to the woman who said now is in a different stratosphere from what these other men are being accused of: inappropriately touching women, coercing them into sex, or raping them.

And even if he did ask permission - he's usually doing it to a subordinate. Someone who relies on him for their livelihood, or someone whose livelihood could be compromised if they said no.
Now - if he had asked the woman out to dinner and she said no, and felt that she was pressured, it'd be a completely different story.
Sounds to me, from the limited information I have that he's looking for consensual partners for his specific fetish. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself.

Except that we don't examine something like this "in and of itself."
He can be into scat play, for all I care. The point is, there's a way to go about finding consensual partners for your specific kink. And it's not like this. And he has to know that.

holy shit dude, there is nothing ok about this in any shape or form. I guess there always has to be one person to play the role of contrarian but this isn't the hill you want to die on.
That's good to know. I still wouldn't put Clooney anywhere near the top of this kind of list, though, just based on some other things about him.
I don't believe he's done anything like assault or harassment. I just think he's got a dickhead streak to him that he doesn't hide very well.

Crazy, I have the exact opposite impression of him through all of his humanitarian work

It doesn't have it stop her from advancing. I would say the level of impropriety goes with how familiar they were with one another, and whether they had an existing professional relationship.
Obviously, it's not as bad as physically forcing yourself on someone (although I'm sure there's some mental damage imparted on someone who has to sit and unwillingly participate here too). But using your position as leverage to try to get someone to conduct sexual acts they'd rather not do is unacceptable.

Actually, Congress.

The politician and 14 year old is totally different and if true that guy should go to jail.

The fact that Louis CK hasn't made any sort of statement yet might mean he's learned the Spacey lesson - Don't get your apology out in front of the coming niagara of allegations from other women.
I don't think so. They can always put it back later.
Tom Hanks
George Clooney
?
Devastated? That strikes me as completely overboard for a normal person.
I'be seen enough of these blowhards and hypocrites get their comeuppance in my life. No one would surprise or devastate me.
I'm a Louis CK fan, and while he doesn't belong in the among the aforementioned list of shitheel hypocrites, what's alleged is awful. Disappointing? Yes. Devastating? Heck no.

You forgot Carlos Danger.
Yeah but Mary...
Some sex therapist is going to make a killing this month
I think the goal is to raise the standard so that sick and twisted being a part of the hollywood industry is much less accepted than it presently is, so if someone is abusing their status just to be a sexual deviant, victims aren't afraid of losing careers or being blackballed if they come forward. There need to be consequences for that sort of thing.
He said he asked permission. Anyone in their right mind would know that "asking" doesn't make it okay. Its just a cop out and putting the pressure on the other party involved.

Then there appears to be many folks not in their right mind, because they seem to believe Louis was truly that ignorant about the power dynamic. Because of his "privilege."
I'm not sure what privilege, though.
What power dymanic was really evident? This was 2002-2005. At this point, he was a comic's comic. None of his major specials had come out, nor had he made either of his eponymous TV shows.
Incident 1: was in his hotel room with two female comedians after a festival they all performed in. He was way more popular. They offered him weed, he asked to jerk off.
Incident 2: He was a guest on a TV pilot and asked one of the writers (or actresses). She said no and he didn't.
Incident 3: A comedian who was a fan of Louie called him up and he jerked off while on the phone.
Incident 4: He was a writer/producer on Chris Rock Show. He asked a woman "who worked in production"
Maybe he had some sort of authority over the unnamed woman in the fourth incident, but in the other cases, what glaring power dynamic was there? Louis descirbes it as a power of admiration they had for him which he realized in hindsight years later, but would it have been so obvious at the time?
Exactly. I wonder how many times he tried that same thing with high-powered female executives at Hollywood studios or production companies or TV networks. I would guess zero times. Gee, wonder why...
