is the same organization that benefited from his efforts are riding him out through the progression of hero to nobody like they did TC. Could be more well managed in the organizational functions of upcoming development, unless it was a greed contract agree upon by both parties and all the corporate welfare along with with (toyota, et al).
A whole lot more celebration and a lot less mockery if our premier FO drafted WR (and LB) when we had OL ..and quality OL and D when we had top 10 picks.
ahhhh. What might have been.
Thank you JR ....and cast of characters.
I didn't like this kid when we first drafted him. I wanted Rothisberger (Sp)... Always will be a Simms fan because he finally delivered us to the promised land in '86. That said, this guy has put as much heart and soul into this franchise over his tenure that even I a staunch Simms supporter is now admitting how wrong I was initially. The crap that he has endured would have made a lesser man shit his pants. As I said before Simms retired, we will miss him dearly when he's gone, well, we sure will. Number 10 great job. Better person.
out and throws for 600 yards and 6 Td's Sunday. The Giants organization has never fully appreciated what they had with him and now it's too late to right the ship before he retires. Damned shame. F-Mara, and Reese for not capitalizing on a once in a generation franchise QB that most teams can only dream of.
The Giants should be competing for Championships every year, like Pittsburgh and New England. Instead we have suffered through mediocrity and downright shit football with the exception of 2 magical runs in his 14 years.
that eats up the giants cap. For his price tag he should easily be able to play with only a center (so the ball can be hiked to him). The giants are a top offensive unit this year if you replace Manning with just an AVERAGE qb. SMH

You're an idiot, no offense.
Gene you need to look in the mirror. Crick's sarcasm was quite evident.

I've always been torn on Eli. My brain says average QB over the last 12 years but those 8 games in 2004 and 2011 were magical. He has some great games and great plays but he was never an elite QB. He did however deliver two of the greatest memories of my life and I will love him for that.
... I'd follow that fucker into the fires of hell.
It's been an honor having him be the face of my favorite franchise. Who could have imagined what a class act and consummate professional he would become?.

"Throws the ball, takes the hit, gets right back up… Has courage and poise. In my opinion, most of all, he has that quality you can't define. Call it magic…Peyton had much better talent around him at Tennessee. But I honestly give this guy a chance to be better than his brother. Eli doesn't get much help from the coaching staff. If he comes out early, we should move up to take him. These guys are rare, you know.PEOPLE WILL SAY HE ISNT CONFIDENT. PEOPLE WILL SAY HE IS SOCIALLY AWKWARD AND INCAPABLE OF LEADING. THEY ARE WRONG. THIS KID IS A WINNER. LET’S DO WHATEVER WE CAN TO GET HIM. IT WILL BE THE DEFINING MOMENT OF THE FRANCHISE."
But I detested the spoiled brat routine Archie and he pulled to get out of San Diego. For a family that always preached class, that was classless. I preferred - and still do - Roethlisberger.
Regardless, Eli is a player who caught lightening in a bottle twice and rode the wave to two SBs. I think he’s incredibly overrated in the sense that he’s considered by many a sure-fire lock for the HoF.
I don’t think so. He’s played in an over the top, pass happy era that distorts passing numbers. Yet, Eli’s numbers vis-à-vis his peers are ordinary. And he hasn’t been void of talent...
However, I think Eli can still be capable in the right circumstances. But I don’t think that’s here at Jints Central. I see a reclamation project underway. Maybe the better fits are Denver or Jax...
Should be a role model for every kid growing up that wants to play sports. Humble. Competitive. Works hard. Family man. Blames himself first. A team first guy.

At the end of his current contract, Eli will have made more money than any player in NFL history. Already, the Giants have paid Eli more than any franchise has paid a single player in NFL history.
Never fully appreciated? Oh, please. I'd love to be as unappreciated as Eli.

Still love the overrated comments after all these years.
