What a slate of games!

Sparty vs. Buckeyes @ noon.
OSU vs. Iowa State @ noon.
Dawgs travel to Auburn to face the Tigers @ 3:30.
Badgers host the Hawkeyes @ 3:30.
'Bama @ Mississippi State @ 7.
TCU invades Norman @ 8.

And then, the big one IMO: the Irish @ Canes @ 8. I'm already counting down the seconds to kickoff. Go Irish!

Whatever happens after this point in the game, I'm very proud of Ash for having this team hang tough in a hostile environment

I really haven’t watched much of Barkley. Is he compared to Leveon Bell? He seems to have a similar running style.
Teams are really keying on Barkley
PatersonPlank : 11/11/2017 2:23 pm : link
For instance in the Rutgers game today, RU is pounding him even when PSU just fakes the handoff to him. So now PSU just fakes the handoff to him and then runs a different play, RU probably has like 2 guys watching Barkley.

This is a good game.
Barkley
Sammo85 : 11/11/2017 5:01 pm : link
Heisman chances are kaput now.

In terms of draft stock he’s probably taken a little bit but he can build it back up towards the draft. In an opened up offense in the NFL he won’t always get a whole defense stacked at the line.

That said I’m not as high on him as Sy and others are.

...by stating I didn't see it with Barkley, more of an athlete than running back. The real aggressive, know-it-all BBI crew, who probably haven't watched any college football, shouted me down but I stand by my belief, and feel as though more people are jumping on my bandwagon. That having been said, I still think he can be a good pro RB, just not a top 5 pick.
Agreed the Irish should win handily, but these are kids, and frankly not used to being favorites such as this in a hostile environment. If they start fast though then I could see a blowout; otherwise, it might be nip and tuck all game.
Mook, have fun & get the Irish a W!

The next big corner in the NFL??
So what happens if UGA loses and ND dominates?
hitchchops2 : 11/11/2017 5:48 pm : link
I can't really justify putting ND ahead of Georgia, so is it possible a UGA loss drops both teams out of the top 4? The board can't keep Georgia ahead of all the other 1 loss squads, or an undefeated Wisconsin, and that would seem to force them to move ND down as well, even with a convincing win. Interesting potential dilemma.

What? You honestly think that they’d move Norte Dame down if Georgia loses? Haha. Wow. So Norte Dame beats a top 10 team on the road and they drop out of the top 4 because Georgia lost. Got it.
Ugh
BigBlueShock : 11/11/2017 5:53 pm : link
Got auto corrected twice on NOTRE Dame. I guess proof reading would help.
ND lost to UGA at home
hitchchops2 : 11/11/2017 5:55 pm : link
How can they be ranked ahead of them, both with 1 loss? I don't see it. It will all be moot eventually, as Georgia will end up with at least 2 losses, allowing ND to leapfrog them. Top 4 might be Bama, Clemson, Wisconsin and winner of Ok-TCU.

Ridiculous. Notre Dame lost by 1 point on a field goal late. There is less than ZERO chance that Notre Dame drops in the rankings if they destroy Miami. None. Georgia laying an egg this week is on them, not Notre Dame. That game is already built into the rankings. That’s why Georgia is number 1. They WILL NOT move ND down based on what Georgia does.

1 TD loss on the road in the 2nd game of the year. Easy to leapfrog.
Think ND beat Miami (2 beat 1) next week BC beat ND. Miami ended up ranked ahead of ND despite being beaten late in the year by ND (1992 or 93??? cant remember).
Notre Dame will only move up or down based on what they do
dpinzow : 11/11/2017 6:09 pm : link
A win tonight and they'd likely move up to second due to what's going on with Georgia losing to Auburn

ND beat FSU (that was the first college gameday road show). BC with Tom Coughlin and Glenn Foley at QB beat ND in South Bend the next week to cost ND a national championship. That was 1993
Giant Scouts take note of Wisconsin
yalebowl : 11/11/2017 6:12 pm : link
I am biased living in cheeseland. But Wisconsin always has a good Offensive Line, linebackers, and tailbacks. I know Ron Dayne. But the Giants used him as the big short yardage back. That was a mistake. He did not have that kind of talent.

Same here. Giants picking Barkley would be a disaster.
That old ND-FSU fiasco was too far back to really be relevant
hitchchops2 : 11/11/2017 6:17 pm : link
Pre-BCS, pre-playoffs, but I see your point. Just to extend the hypothetical, what if GA comes back and loses by a point or two? They have to move down, but they would have a quality loss on the road (Auburn is a top 10 team) vs. ND with a quality loss at home. Whoever wins the TCU-Okla battle would have a very nice win against a top 10 team under their belt...none of this really matters, I believe it will all work out in the end, just makes for interesting possibilities. BTW, as a die hard ND fan, that BC loss still stings.
BTW, if I have to watch one more...

...Wingo-Golic promo I may kill someone. Are there people really entertained by those two? I cannot imagine how that could be possible.
