I wonder how much time...

Lebron and BigBlue4you have spent scouting Frank. Just an FYI: Smith has a wingspan of 6'0, and Frank a wingspan of 7'0.

And I continue to contend that the European lack of weight and balance training make comparisons with American 19 year olds on athleticism fairly irrelevant.

Look what happened with KP once he bulked up.
Anyone who has watched this nineteen year old play so far
arniefez : 11/12/2017 1:36 am : link
would see in a minute he is a perfect match for a unicorn. Dallas can keep the me guy.The Knicks have had way too many of them for too long.
I’ll take a great defender who can grow offensively any day

Breath of fresh air So far
We still doing this Dennis Smith thing?
Ten Ton Hammer : 11/12/2017 1:41 am : link
A ball-dominating scorer isn't what this team needed. We have watched this Knicks team for nearly 10 years without a real point guard. It doesn't work.

Melo shooting 42%.

Honest question....would you take him back on Knicks without giving up any players, and paying him the vet minimum?

I would not.

Not in a million years would I want Melo back. Zero drama with this Knicks team, nothing to talk about but basketball, and nobody feels compelled to discuss “getting Melo going”, as was the case with every fucking Knicks game for 5 years
Seriously, fuck lebron. I hope

our guys get pissed next game. If smith is the steal of the draft, why point out the Knicks and not the 8 teams that passed on him?? Smith is a buddy of lebron and this was a shot at them. Of course all the talking heads use lebrons words as facts as opposed to his usual garbage opinion. Apparently the Knicks made a huge mistake and it's already been decided.

Commenting on the Knicks, saying Dennis smith jr should be a knick and it makes no sense he was by far the best player there.

Lebron also traded Wiggins for love. He's the worst GM in the NBA even if he's the best player.
RE: RE: He's just taking a shot at Phil Jackson.

I already lived through Stephon Marbury and Steve Francis in Knicks uniforms - I didn't need to see Dennis Smith. Those types of "point guards" typically get you nowhere.

Uh no, he’s not. He’s right. Knicks made a huge mistake

Guess you haven't watched frank play. He's 19 and already the best defensive pg in the NBA.

How on earth any knicks fan could complain about frank right now??? We haven't had a pg with this potential in fifty years!! Forget mark Jackson he was a garbage defender too. We finally have the right kind of pg to build KP around and fans still bitch. Like I said, Lebron is an idiot for a GM.
I can see Frank as a

15 pt 10 asst 3 steals all NBA defensive team type player. You win championships with that kind of player
Frank is a much more versatile player than DSJr and will have a better

career. Also, DSJr is an injury risk.
In other news, watching last night reminded me
mfsd : 11/12/2017 8:07 am : link
that some people actually suggested the Knicks draft Cauley-Stein at #4 2 years ago.

Bahahahahahaha!!!!!
The only complaint I have with Ntilikina is
robbieballs2003 : 11/12/2017 8:16 am : link
That he passes too much. Think about that. What a great problem to have in an era where the game has gotten away from the true pass-first point guards. Not only that but he seems like he can be a guy that can eventually learn how to drive to the basket to put a ton of pressure on the defense. But, my favorite part about him is not his defense, not his potential, but rather his mental makeup, attitude, ability to be coached, and unselfishness. I wasn't crazy about the pick when it was made and there were concerns. However, that is all in the rear view mirror. He just needs to continue to work hard and grow through his normal progression.
Lebron is a jackass
Mike in NJ : 11/12/2017 8:20 am : link
What does Smith Jr. do better than Frank besides score, which he hasn't even been doing efficiently at this point? Ntilikina is light years ahead of him defensively, and is already looking to be a much better passer and facilitator. Frank actually has a higher ORtg than Smith does this early on, and a much better DRtg as well.

Frank is the type of guy that is going to take some time for people to realize the impact he is having because he doesn't put up huge scoring stats, but does everything else well. He's Rajon Rondo to Dennis Smith's Steph Marbury. I feel like because of his vision and defensive skills, even if his game as a score doesn't develop, his floor is a guy like Ricky Rubio.

I don’t think he was suggesting him at 4, but I kinda remember Dan being the biggest Carley-Stein fan in the board.
Comparing Smith and Frank per 36 minutes,
Ira : 11/12/2017 9:00 am : link
Smith is the better scorer, Frank has the better all around game -

Frank 8.4 points 9.1 assists 3.4 rebounds 2.8 steals
DSJr 18.8 points 6.5 assists 2.8 rebounds 1.1 steals

Yup there have been a handful of times Frank drives the lane, beats his man, and almost seems unsure of what to do next...needs to learn to finish strong or make the pass when it’s there. But as you said, he’s an inexperienced 19 year old, but the potential is there
Nice of Lebron

I’m obviously being a little obnoxious after KP took Cauley-Stein to school last night...but Willie is an athletic 7 footer who runs like a deer, he’ll be a good player in the league for a long time. And very few predicted in that draft KP would blossom into full blown unicorn by year 3.

Haven’t had much to crow about as Knicks fans in a long time, enjoying it while we can)

LeBron need to STFU

and focus on his job GM of the Cavs.

He can go to Dallas next year and play with Smith.
