He probably doesn't even give the Giants a second thought.

He definitely gives it a second thought and that thought is a huge "fuck you" smile on his face. Mara should have fired Reese and moved Coughlin upstairs. He couldn't coach anymore but that man can assess and manage talent better than most, specifically better than every piece of shit collecting a pay check at the Giants front office right now.

Hell, the players sitting in the conference left when it was Jerry's turn to talk. Shows what the even the players that picked were picked by JR think of our general manager.

Yup, team had losing records. Although it looked like the team was improving in 2015 but had no defense to speak of. Looking back now, you don't see that maybe he was not the whole problem. Two years removed from his firing the team has all the same chronic roster issues and has become the worst team in the NFL. The Giants are a league wide joke. Maybe he was not the problem after all.

Totally agree Homer,

Look no further than how the team played when they started 0-6. A complete 180 than how this team is playing.

Haven't followed the Giants much since the Jaguars are now IN PLAYOFF CONTENTION I've had to work together lately with our coach and VERY COOPERATIVE OWNER AND GM to FINISH the GOOD WORK we started JUST last year.

If you don't get a chance to call back soon'HAPPY THANKSGIVING'.

this is just childish. Was he silent last year when they made the playoffs and now all of audden boisterous since the team is struggling? I’d hope he’d be focused on how to overtake the Titans.

No disagreement with me regarding what should have happened. But if you think Tom is thinking about the Giants after his team won their first overtime game since 2009, you haven't been paying attention to him all the years of his tenure. He's enjoyed his team winning and is already on to the next opponent. A consummate pro.

Four years missing the playoffs and three losing seasons in a row? Somebody else's fault. Never should have let him go.

Going 11-5 and making the playoffs as a rookie coach? A mirage? A fluke.

A shit-tastic season riddled with injuries, including the loss of our only superstar? Don't make excuses! Fire him now!

I’m not down with giving TC excuses. But are you excusing BMs season due to injuries? Maybe I’m misreading so I’m asking seriously.

Yeah, obviously. The Giants have improved immensely with the entire management team minus the Ancient One and the Jags are clearly suffering from his senility.

One good season where we got smoked in the playoffs after spending $200 M because your drafting sucks so bad, all comes down to Reese as the common denominator. Shitty players, and the choice to hire Ben.

Actually, here is the logic:
Team A let's all the management stay and promotes one of their number and let's exactly one guy go. The wheels have completely come off of Team A- won 1 of their last 10 games, just lost to a team that had not won a game all year and appear to have a defensive player revolt on their hands.

Team B, league laughing stock, hires that one guy and places him in charge of all football operations. Team B is tied for first place and has now won more games this season than it had in any of the last 7 seasons.

It would certainly appear that this one guy was not the problem and quite possibly was keeping a leaky boat afloat while saddled with a collection of buffoons. In fact, I cannot think of a situation like this in the last 50 years where it was so apparent that one guy made that much of a difference. Perhaps someone else can.

I have to be honest,I see it the same way. The explanation is rarely that simple, but it is crystal clear Coughlin was not the main problem with this team.

From the actions taken after 2015, I draw the conclusion this is what ownership thought.

A consumate pro keeps his feelings about things like his unceremonious resignation to himself. He is a hardcore competitor and I can guarantee when he's by himself looking at what he's done in Jacksonville versus what he left behind in New York he smiles a little bit bigger.
