Lebron tends to do well when he's pissed off to a point.
BS - its way past time the Knicks stood up for themselves against these stars who come to the Garden and take over the place. Love seeing some fight from this young Knicks team

I agree with the thought, but I don't think there's a LeBron-stopper on the team. It already seems like the Cavs started the game playing like this one matters a lot to them.

True, although the crowd booing LeBron no doubt already making that happen. IMO its worth it to see some fire out of the Knicks. They handled it right, no cheap shots, just got in Lebrons face enough to send the message theyll stand up for each other
Old school b-ball.. How can you not love this team!
Awesome. Energy all over the floor
Still feels like a game where LeBron is hanging back and waiting for the second half to take over...but love seeing guys like Lee, McDermott, THJr and Frank racing all over the floor making plays
Frank could be the best perimeter defender in the league
Yeah, but that near half court three point attempt near the end of the half really annoyed me. Hardaway takes some really dumb shots at some really dumb times.
I wanted Smith Jr. in the draft, but I took a wait and see approach with Frank. The kid is really likeable and fun to watch play D. His offense should come and while he doesn;t have that "wow" factor you can see he just plays the game right.
Yeah, but that near half court three point attempt near the end of the half really annoyed me. Hardaway takes some really dumb shots at some really dumb times.
In fairness
1. I think that was a heat check, the garden would have exploded
2. He's been aggressively driving the ball. I've been critical of the guy but I'd sign for full games of this for the entirety of his contract and call it a major winner
step in front of Lebron when he drives. He even makes it easy to figure out when hes going to drive to the lane because he gets that angry baby Bron Bron face.

Yeah, Im not going to kill him for it but it was a really stupid shot. And hes done that a bunch in the early going this season. Even KP during the games has had to tell him to chill on that stuff. But if thats all I️ have to complain about that half, Im cool with that.
Angry Bron is going to come out hard in the 2nd half. Itll be important to shove a binkie in his mouth and not allow him to get on a roll.
think people should just move on from DSJ (including trashing him when he has a bad game. Frank is our guy and so far so good.
I agree completely. It's annoying but considering the LeBron comments it's understandable in this case that he's on people's minds
Understood. But DSJ really has nothing to do with Lebron's stupid comments. DSJ (like Frank) has shown flashes. I'm not rooting against him. I hope he has a great career and Frank does too. Frank clearly has talent, he's an NBA player and I look forward to seeing him progress.
Frank is 19 years old and has been averaging under 20 minutes a game in far shorter European seasons. He needs to be brought along gradually to the workload, not thrown in headfirst. Especially given his injury history.
and he could have played Korver instead of Lee. Jack could have gotten his minute in garbage time. Hornacek lost this game
Frank played 24 minutes and had 2 assists, 3 turnovers and 7 points. That's not good enough. Love the steals and the defense, but he wasn't saving them.
for Thomas. Frank had an open 3 that he punked out on and drove the lane for a turnover. He makes that the Knicks win. Gotta take the shot that's given, not the shot you want.
We need a different sAying than trust the process, but this team is still fighting. I agree with the comment that Jeff needs to own this one. Frank on Korver early fourth and you never know.

Jack was awful tonight. He couldn't handle the pressure in the 1st qtr. Off night.
The only word that I can think of to describe LeBron is Cunt...
That loss hurts.. we fucking shit the bed and KP was off all night. I really really hope we bounce back and play better. Last year we started off playing decent and the we all know what happened.

Frustrating because even an average game by either one makes this a win.
why is Kanter not out there? Best rebounder on the team and you don't put him out there to give the Knicks one last chance? I don't even understand why 2 guards are halfway down court

Enes Kanter reiterates he wont take LeBron talking about his rookie: I️ dont care what you call yourself King, Queen, Princess.
Im sure Kanter is pissed about the loss, but he should really let it go now. He did his job by playing the enforcer, but ongoing shots at LeBron serve no purpose

Im fine with it, it seems like something that will bring them together
Yeah, you'd hope a legend and a champion would behave like one. Wasn't like Frank mouthed off and created some controversy - Lebron stirred this whole thing up.

remember jordan and pippen basically making kukoc life hell in that olympic game because they didnt want the bulls to sign him...
written before tonights game, obviously, but bodes well for the rest of the season
Do the math. From the OKC deal alone, the Knicks decreased three shot attempts per game while increasing floor percentage by a hall of fame number (+.167). The duo is also currently combining for over 22 points a night, a number that basically equals Melos ouput from a season ago.
but I have to say, the first three quarters were as exciting the Knicks have been in a very, VERY long time.
As far as how Korver gets open: he may not be fast and explosive compared with other NBA players, but he has ridiculous endurance and keeps running and cutting all game. If he has steps on a guy, he can weave through the players and get his defender screened for a quick look. He's really fun to watch off-ball.
The most sensitive star I've ever seen in any sport I think. Picking on a 19 year old rookie and then trying to bully him around the court is bizarre. Even Wade was looking at Lebron like WTF are you doing when the altercation happened. He goes off on these weird and random tangents all the time that just make him like a very strange man.

Sczerbiak was guessing that LeBron might have done it just to fire up his team. Thought even the comments about Dennis Smith were calculated to stir up trouble.
and Sessions is beyond worn. I think a Knicks trade of a big for a better experienced pg is likely if the brass believes that the rest of the team is playoff ready.
I'd like a younger guard too, just not sure what's out there that's
Hell, he even followed up the Dennis Smith comments with something about his comments causing controversy. He's a dick. Like A-Rod. They can't help it.
Getting mouthy as your career winds down is a sure way to ruin your reputation. Its the difference between Tiki and Jeter. And starting shit with rookies makes it worse
cavs have no big men..
according to score sheet still out
Tina was a little spark plug. Yum.
historically the Knicks never win these games, but we love them just the same.
Nonsense

Hehe yup that was a little Oakley/Mason throwback too. He did get ball those, wasnt a cheap shot, just hard defense
The weird thing is Hornacek wasn't that type of player in that era
Fuck DSJ.

Cavs will come after them hard in the 2nd half, lets see if our boys are up to the challenge
LOL
Dammit!!! Falling in love with this team again!!!!!

Rambissssssssss 😂
Very good, hes really disrupted KPs rhythm. He needs to learn to handle it, he has made a couple good passes when boxed in
Still too early imo. I say after the all star break
Breen is a chickenhawk.
Frank is 19 years old and has been averaging under 20 minutes a game in far shorter European seasons. He needs to be brought along gradually to the workload, not thrown in headfirst. Especially given his injury history.
Possibly, but Crowder is playing very physical. Its nice to see KP get some of these calls that normally he hasnt gotten in years past.
when Kanter made that layup and ended up on his back I yelled out I bet he gets back on defense and he did. That is leadership.
LeBron and Wade disease.

We never see one of the Knicks too busy bitching about a non-call to hustle back on defense

Yup perfect example
Frank 6 steals
if he never grows an inch he'll still be the best point guard in Knick history.

Haven't heard of Walt Frazier, I take it?
Because it's Lebron.
Mine just exploded 🔥
Yeah that's working really well.
Disappointing.
But.
Still, a pretty exciting game.
I guarantee there is no one on this site who is a New York Knicks fan who would have not taken 7-6 from this team after 13.
Fuck!
26 from THJ
20 from kanter
A really horrible and inefficient 20 from KP.
Somebody else had to step up and they didn't. Jack and Frank combined for 9 points. Not killing them, but that's the game, basically.

Yup. He was way too tentative with some good looks.
3 fouls in 58 seconds killed his night.

Usually bringing the energy but had a stinker tonight
Never have liked him. Such a bitch.

will be interesting to see how knicks come out

OK Im with you guys on this. And Lebron is the one who made it personal with Kanter, Kanters original reply was pretty tame

What a weird comparison.
LeBron the most sensitive star of all time? I doubt that. Star under the biggest microscope of all-time? Now that is likely true.
