Your infatuation with your own hatred for VT is one of the stranger things about BBI, lol. It's oddly comforting at this point.
I guess there are only so many
pjcas18 : 11/15/2017 9:56 am : link
changes you can realistically make to your team.

I'm no Tyrod Taylor fan, but when you get steamrolled at home by the juggernaut Saints running game for almost 300 yards rushing, you replace your QB.

Offense stunk too, so not saying it didn't, but the defense was the bigger problem.
Peterman...

As a fellow UVA grad though a non-traditional one who attended grad school in my early 30's, there is much hatred for that program for a few reasons.

First, the overwhelming cult mentality that is VT. As one who lived in Richmond for some time before moving to FL, it went beyond accelerated fandom.

Secondly, the Redskins mentality of how much better their fans think/thought their football team is/was then they actually are. Every year, it seemed for a good decade, VT would have a meeting with a top 10 team and get absolutely destroyed. You could set the clocks by it.

Frank Beamer, while he is gone, it will take some time to get over having to look at him, listen to him and witness those within the cult insisting that he was one of the best NCAA coaches -ever. I will give him his due for building the program but he would be consistently out coached playing the big boys.

The fucking Gobble Gobble bullshit. Both my nieces went to VT and made the mistake of going to a Miami game there. Hollly shit. I fully expected when leaving the stadium to see tractors instead of cars.

Finally, the colors. Nothing like Thanksgiving 24/7- 365.

So, that pretty much sums it up. Greg, I'm not attempting to speak for you but I trust I have covered all the bases with this.

I see you are still upset that you haven't beaten Tech in football since 2003. The wine and cheese attitude is very apparent in your post.

Cling to the streak like a drowning man to a life preserver, it's all you all have.
I would like to know who assured Greg
pjcas18 : 11/15/2017 11:00 am : link
that Taylor was a "budding star" LOL.

Most people I know highlighted QB as a Bills weakness.

I may have been employing a bit of hyperbole
Greg from LI : 11/15/2017 11:04 am : link
haha....but there were people here saying how promising he was a couple of years ago.

Nowhere in that entire fake post do I use the word "budding".

Nice effort though, that must have taken you seconds to create.

I'd much rather cling to the streak on the field, then the SAT scores that all UVA fans tout.

That's usually what Brett hears when someone finds one of his "soiled" socks.
I find that idea interesting

Lol yeah, everybody said that 6th round pick would be a start. Honestly don't think he's that bad, maybe even a solid league average starter. Bills are blaming the wrong unit

A rookie QB coming into start midseason?
jeff57 : 11/15/2017 1:06 pm : link
To see if he can cut it before next year's draft. Can't be.
Taylor seems to me to be an ok QB
81_Great_Dane : 11/15/2017 2:37 pm : link
but he doesn't seem to be improving much and he seems to have a low-ish ceiling. It's kind of an extreme move but I give the Bills credit for putting down the cup to pick up the quart, if you know that metaphor.
I happen to have a close personal friendship
LatHarv83 : 11/15/2017 7:41 pm : link
With someone within the Bills organization who is in a position to know the thinking on moves like this. That’s about as far as I can go with that. I’ll just pass along this insight... coaches love Tyrod as a guy, comes to work everyday works hard plays hurt, great attitude and has some redeeming qualities that make him a useful player in the league... but he has one glaring flaw that has drove multiple bills regimes crazy... his ability to see the field is pretty deplorable. There has never been a QB who missed more open receivers than Taylor. And by “miss” I don’t mean errant throws, I mean just not seeing guys running free and not pulling the trigger on throws that should have absolutely been made given the look from the defense. It’s a pretty glaring flaw that hasn’t gotten any better and the current staff has just gotten fed up with it. This was not an easy decision though because they genuinely like the kid
I'm not sure if people are giving Taylor enough credit here.
Ten Ton Hammer : 11/15/2017 8:34 pm : link
5-4
163/254 - 64.2%
1,648 yards (6.6)
10 TDs (3.9%)
3 INTs (1.2%)
Rating - 91.4
Sacks - 28

Since 2015, Tyrod Taylor is 1 of 3 QB with 45+ Pass TD and 10+ Rush TD. (Cam, Cousins)

Tyrod Taylor has the highest passer rating, completion percentage, adjusted yards per attempt, and the lowest interception percentage in #Bills franchise history.

He’s solid and his ability to avoid turnovers is massive
LatHarv83 : 11/15/2017 9:14 pm : link
But he just has serious shortcomings when it comes to reading the defense. The Bills staff has just had enough going through these films and seeing all the open guys he’s not throwing to because he simply doesn’t see them. Those kind of deficiencies don’t necessarily show up in stats. Is his next kid the guy? Who knows. But they’ve made up their mind that Tyrod has a ceiling that’s not high enough for their tastes
