Dear Mr. Mara,
I am proud to be fan of the NY Giants. My first football memory is of “the fumble”. I have not missed a football game since. You have me, the quality of the product you have put on the field over the course of my life has earned my loyalty. I have never written to you or any member of the organization. I expect there to be lows along with the amazing highs you have given us.
I support your decision to wait until the end of the season to address the state of the team and make changes. Inserting a new coach might spark the players and make it possible that we could win a few games that we might not have won otherwise. This will only hurt us long term. The team has a high probability of drafting in position we rarely have (thank you)
I have been a leader of men and women my entire life. I am very concerned by what I am seeing on the field. I am more concerned about what I have been hearing from some of our players and I am most concerned about what I have not been hearing. The lack of outrage about what is happening on Sunday is deafening,
I know we have made a point of drafting college team captains in an effort to draft players of high character. In some instance this has worked but is largely failing us. I am seeing a vacuum of character on Sundays. This is an indictment of team leadership and ultimately lies at the feet of ownership. This season of losing feels so awful because it feels seems as though there is acceptance teamwide.
I am not a member of the industry and accept that I am ignorant. That said, I wish we would draft and sign, players and coaches, that hate losing more than they enjoy winning. If we had real leaders on this team, they would be in the faces of the teammates that are so blatantly quitting on the field. This is on you to fix.
Thank you for all of the wonderful Giant memories, I am counting on more, you have spoiled us. I know I should not care as much as I do. The Mara’s, to their credit, have run this team like a family. Maybe that that is why the fans feel like we are part of that family. This hurts all of us. Please fix it.
Thank You,
George %& ^$& ))_)*& ^
We are a great fanbase. A true fan base.
I have been through several of these horrible seasons.
The last 2 yielded us George Young, Simms and Taylor
and finally Coughlin and Eli..
Lets hope if we go 2-14 or 3-13 or worse we pick up a QB that makes
us forget all of this misery in 2017.
"have a good show"!
Send this to the stadium.
"have a good show"!
I always do. So much joy all in one place is intoxicating.
Now, go F*** yourself!
Love,
John"
One of the missing ingredients.
At least Odell would show some emotion. These guys quitting in the field is embarrassing.
