Since Reese has been here, who has he drafted or signed as an UDFA of consequence at DE, OL or LB? This time period is over a decade! My definition of consequence is someone in the top quartile of players at his position over a 4 year time period. I'm not even holding him to all pro standards. Also, I can speak as an expert on backs and injuries. Once you have an injured back or even worse, surgery, you are never the same. At best you are close to what you once were but one wrong move from being dysfunctional again. Let alone playing as an NFL player. You can certainly risk short term contracts, but never long term for big money. This is my suspicion why JPP has never been the same as when he was a rookie. His back. Couple that with his hand and a poor attitude. Reese had to at least partially ignore the docs advice on JPP. They had to at least point out the increased risk of him physically never being the same. This speaks to Pugh as well. Aside from the fact that he really isn't anything special and not up to the standard of what you need on the OL, he most likely will continue to be injured and maybe have his play suffer if his back condition worsens. At best he should be a 6th OL, versatile and not called on to play 16 games. Obviously that would not be at 8 mill a year.
Wheeler's an UDFA O-lineman on the 53-man roster right now.
Ernie Pierce? I'm confused.
Finkle is Einhorn
Orleans Darkwa
Again, I said drafted or signed as an UDFA and was good, not even great for 4 years. I didn’t say a decade either. I set beyond reasonable standards. Could probably throw RB or TE in there as well. I’m not sure you could even say this about the Cleveland Browns. It is mind boggling.

UDFA is playing good ball for us?

Darkwa wasn't a UDFA we got him of the Dolphins practice squad.
You don't need to prove that his free agents have also been horrible to drop the guy. He needs to get to rehab stat.
But the Marshal hire - on top of the above and lack of linesmen was really a head scratcher.
I mean, the guy has had ten years and it's a major stretch to give him a pass just due to Moss who has the requisite heft...and who -might- be an OK player.
David Wilson....all obvious bias moves at the time when need / value was with linemen.
I want Reese gone before they make any decisions about the draft in the spring.
The Mara's will probably not fire him, they'll probably re-assign to a higher position in the franchise.
Whatever they decide to do, I hope Reese will no longer be the GM of the N.Y. Giants!
Someone explain why the Defense is so bad this year? The answer is NOT talent.
McAdoo had a very good year last year, but it's apparent he could not right the ship early on this saeason when things got tough. It's time to clean house coaching wise - too many old TC holdovers, including Ben.
You can fire Reese also, just be prepared to be disappointed when not every 4-7 round pick, and most UDFA don't pan out.
Everybody is in love with Dallas' OL. How did they look w/o Elliot and ONE injury - Smith - in a dome - 7 points? I guess Dallas sucks at getting good OL depth?
The point is to have a different variety of those, different strengths, and along with that we will accept different weaknesses because it will bring some balance.
But if we wait we may have neither, because the current situation causes injuries and will offset the development of the marginal ones.

Opinions vary.
I'm in Reese's corner.
The roster had playoff talent last year and was considered improved going into the season.
McAdoo's staff shit the bed this season. I hope it was a learning experience for him and that Reese, the organization's best judge of talent since George Young, is able to pick his own man to right the ship this off-season.
