Anyone have Zeke Elliott, keep him, drop him or anyone pick him up?

In my league he was dropped last night and I decided to pick him up. I'm in first place with a pretty comfortable lead, good depth everywhere except RB and feel I'm able to stash him. Have Melvin Gordon, Jordan Howard and Darkwa. Would be ok as long as 2 of them don't get hurt.

Zeke doesn't have a favorable schedule when he comes back, but I figure at very least will add depth for playoffs (hopefully I'll make it to wk 16).

Thoughts?
don't mean to sound like I'm bragging

I know luck (not Andrew) is a big part of it.
Yeah, if you are going to the playoffs or even have a shot at them

It's a no-brainer. In fact, even if you are out of it, I think dropping a player like Zeke is kind of shitty to do in a fantasy league, to me it messes with the integrity of the league's playoffs, because he really should not be available. Plus, he still would have a lot of trade value so there should be no point at all in just dropping him. If you've given up on the season and aren't making the playoffs, don't drop him. If you actually care and you might make the playoffs, you really shouldn't drop him, because if you make it, you have a much greater chance of winning with Zeke in your championship game. And if you have to get rid of him to give yourself a shot at the playoffs, you can still get something decent of value for him in a trade in re-draft leagues, and something really good for him in keeper or dynasty leagues. There is no reason to drop him. You were wise to pick him up, and of course in week 16 you play him against the Seahawks.

Just picked up and IRed Rodgers

Praying theyre still in a hunt and he comes back with a Fury for the last two weeks.

Im in first and although I sat the Pitt D - I have KC going against that shitty NY team and projected to get a W. If I get it, I have a great shot at a first-round bye with Rodgers coming back in the nick of time- I'd consider it a highway robbery if he wins me the league.
He's back for Seattle
pjcas18 : 11/17/2017 11:35 am : link
if I was in the hunt for a playoff spot and my league had small benches I'd drop him too, because hold him for that one final game (my legaues all have finals week 16 and nothing week 17), or risk missing the playoffs is a no-brainer.

and I don't think it's a shitty thing to do to anyone else.

or if it is I don't care.

that said, no one dropped Elliott in any of my leagues.

However, David Johnson is available in one league and I read he has his cast off finally and might make an appearance before the end of the season.

worth picking him up?
Here's one for you

As commissioner, I kind of want to boot some owners from my league next year to make it more competitive. I'm tired of the same guys being in the playoffs every year and winning because of the horrible fantasy play and non-decisions by non-competitive owners. Here's the perfect example: As many of you know, I recently dropped Alex Collins, a perfectly viable fantasy RB, from my team in favor of the soon returning Greg Olsen. Alex Collins has now passed through waivers and is now sitting idly by in the free agency pile for no reason whatsoever, while the RB situation on 6/10ths of my freaking league is this pile of steaming shite:

Team 1: D'Onta Foreman, Marlon Mack (solidly in the playoff race, record 5-5)
Team 2: Aaron Jones (still in the lineup), Duke Johnson (out of it at 1-9, but still)
Team 3: Dion Lewis, Jonathan Stewart, Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte (this is the entire RB corps of team 3, who also has not been eliminated from playoff contention but mostly out of it at )
Team 4: Orleans Darkwa, Jamaal Williams, C.J. Anderson, Frank Gore, Thomas Rawls (still hanging in the playoff race at 4-6)
Team 5: Tarik Cohen, Buck Allen, LeGarrette Blount (solidly in the playoff race at 5-5...somehow). This team also has two kickers, btw, both of whom are post-bye week, but only one legi-timate RB in Melvin Gordon. FFS.
Team 6: Let's just give Team 6's entire RB corps, this team is the Zeke Elliott, owner, btw who is on the bench when he could be in her IR slot, allowing a FREE ADD - Al Morris, Ameer Abdullah, Isaiah Crowell, Latavius Murray. Somehow, her team is 6-4 and currently in a playoff spot in the standings.

FFS.

thanks for the comments. The guy dropped him around 5 pm last night according to the email. I noticed it right before I turned off the computer around 9 and didn't think much of it at the time.

As I'm trying to fall asleep, it hit me! Wait a minute.. I think he's going to be back wk 16! He was still avail this morning around 7:45 so I jumped on it.

I think I've benefited from the shortsightedness of a few opponents.

Someone dropped the Ravens D before their bye last week. They're a top 4-5 D that has a very favorable schedule for the playoffs.

Someone else dropped Alex Smith before his recent bye. I picked him up to pair with Dak (dropped Rivers as my backup for a pretty big upgrade).

This fantasy season is helping me not hate this season.
I am holding onto him for two reasons...
EricJ : 11/17/2017 11:55 am : link
I could possibly use him depending on what happens with the rest of my roster. Sure, he may be up against Seattle but if one or two of my other RBs get hurt then I obviously would need Zeke.

Second, this is a keeper league....
Seattle run D
Dr. D : 11/17/2017 12:20 pm : link
some RBs have had nice games against them, including Ty Montg, DeMarco, Hyde and most recently, Lamar Miller.

Anywho, we'll see (if I make it to the finals), I'll have a nice choice at RB between Zeke, Melvin and Howard (Darkwa probably not a factor).
I just picked up Elliott last night even if it's just for one game
Milton : 11/17/2017 12:24 pm : link
I'm also considering picking up David Johnson (it would mean dropping one of my two RB handcuffs, Booker and Ekeler), but that may be overkill because my current starters are Bell and Hunt. What I really need are receivers. Maclin is available. I'm practically guaranteed a playoff spot in this 12-team league so I have time to tinker with my bench.
Just got offered a trade
beatrixkiddo : 11/17/2017 1:03 pm : link
Its in a keeper PPR league, 14 teams.

Landry and a 2nd 3rd round pick for Cooper and my 1st and 6th.

I'm contemplating it just on the volume of picks where I would get them in the top 5 rounds. I am likely going to be picking somewhere around 10th-12th. I don't see myself beating the top two teams. Always skeptical to trade picks however, and this player is at the bottom and has been selling players for picks.

I feel your pain. Many leagues I have played in have people who just check out and cannot be bothered to even spend five mins. to rotate their lineups.
McKinnon or Kenyan Drake?

McKinnon I guess? I don't feel great about it.

I would go Goff...tough matchup this week but I don't see how you get away from that offense...it is running pretty hot.

I think this is bad fantasy juju. I don't think anyone should ever pick up and drop a guy to put them on waivers through the weekend. Pick up a guy you want to play or at least roster. If you pick him up, that's fine, but at least keep him. I think you should keep Dion anyway.

That's a close one. Both have stellar matchups. I really love the gamescript potentially for both as well. However, I would go Drake. I think he has the fresh legs, he's gaining confidence, and the Dolphins would be crazy to not give him even more opportunities. I do think the Rams-Vikings game sets it much more for a McKinnon over Murray type of game, however, and I am playing McKinnon this week with confidence.

If I'm getting Landry I'd feel pretty good about it. Losing the first rounder is tough, though, but you should be able to get decent players in those middle rounds. If you have 3 or less keepers, I'd say yes. 4 or more, probably would decline the trade because there will be less talent in the 2nd and 3rd rounds where you will be picking.
I'm starting Alex Smith over Dak
Dr. D : 11/17/2017 3:56 pm : link
Hope the Giants D doesn't finally decide to show up this week.

It sucks even saying that. I would much rather the Giants be kicking ass and I'd be starting Dak.

But the numbers don't lie.

The Giants are the team to play if you're a QB.
