Sadly, the most important game for Giants fans to watch this weekend is at 8PM tonight when Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen take the field in the same game.
He's from there, played there. Wisco has had a bit of coaching turnover losing Bielema and Anderson along with Aranda and Wilcox. They pull the most out of 3 star recruits than anybody.
that the Michigan contingent is once again quiet. Bunch of fair weather fans.
The better team won today. Really excited about this Badger team. One of the best things too is that they're young.
I would feel a lot better about this team is Hornibrook wasn't so inconsistent. He makes some NFL caliber throws but throws far too many picks for someone who throws the ball 15-20 times per game.
Just a word to the wise about making too much... Â
On November 25, 1995, Michigan faced Ohio State with the marque match-up of Michigan's Tim Biakabutuka, versus Ohio State's Eddie George.
Because of Biakabutuka's 313 on 37 carries in a 31–23 victory over previously-unbeaten Ohio State, the Michigan star running back got the nod over Eddie George in the 1996 NFL Draft being selected #8 by Carolina. Eddie George went six picks later to the Houston Oilers at #14.
The rest is history. Tiakabutuka rushed for 2,530 years over a 5-year injury plagued career.
As for Eddie George... 8 years straight in which he never missed a game. Final career totals include 10,441 rushing yards, 268 receptions, 2,227 receiving yards, and 78 touchdowns (68 rushing and ten receiving).

Always be cautionary with that..
I think when players are evenly matched, even if one is a little more polished looking, the key is to look at intangibles.
Accorsi would say Eli had some sort of magic, an ability to will his team from behind when he watched him... That's the sort of edge i'm looking for as it reveals character.
with the INT issues with Darnold. The FACTS are that Darnold has almost the identical number of passing attempts as Rosen. Rosen has 21 TD passes and 9 INT's and Darnold has 24 TD's and 11 INT's. Darnold has a 148 rating and Rosen a 143. Basically equal. You can throw in that UCLA' has an inferior team BUT you can also make the case that USC has played MUCH tougher opponents. To me, Darnold has a strong arm and excellent footwork in and out of the pocket. He also has incredible poise for such a young guy. Reminds me personality and poise wise alot like Eli. I would be happy with either although I do worry a little about Rosen's personality fitting in the NFL and in NY. I would take either one but for my money, I prefer Darnold. Looking forward to tonight's game!
Dan Marino threw five picks vs. Tennessee his senior year and was an interception machine throughout his career. Darnold is 20. Not the least bit worried about his turnovers.
I have to think they give Scott Frost whatever he wants to come back to Lincoln. Frost was the last Nebraska QB to lead them to a national title (1997 shared title with Michigan)
In the 1990s, Nebraska, FSU, Florida and Tennessee Â
won 7 of the decade's 10 national championships. Now, all of them will either replace their coaches (Tennessee, Florida, almost certainly Nebraska) or see their coaches on a very warm seat (FSU)

Doubt Jimbo Fisher is on the warm/hot seat....lose your sophomore on the 1st week and then start a true frosh QB the rest of the year. It ain't pretty, but they'll be pretty good next year. Lots of youngsters on that team.

Jimbo better beat Miami and put up at least 9-10 wins or he's in trouble. The national championship he won with Jameis gives him a reprieve this year but FSU will make a change if they think Miami will overrun them in Florida recruiting and start dominating the state
The announcers were glowing about Matfield after his last TD pass. They pan to him on the sideline and he’s grabbing his crotch saying “fuck you” multiple times to the Kansas sideline.

Like to see him plant the flag while grabbing his crotch.
No, you see if he can elevate the players around him, such as Eli did for Ole Miss. Also, you are scouting to see footwork, arm strength, and if the scouts have access to his practice and then watch him live during the game. You want to see if he can make the throws needed at the NFL level.

I'd love to see Giants grab Barkley in 1st and Mayfield in the 2nd. Similar to when SD drafted Tomlinson and Brees.
Now they can't recruit
Are constantly switching coaches
Have no natural rivals (Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado aren't in the B1G)
[quote] but they get a drive going at the end of the 1st half to tie it at 10 (Wimbush TD) [/quote
ND with horrendous tackling against the option. Navy's runners cannot be that strong that ND cannot tackle them.

A little hypocritical of you being so pro Mayfield and anti Beckham.

Never saw Beckham grab his crotch and scream FU over and over on the sidelines.
Hypocritical indeed.
Like to see him plant the flag while grabbing his crotch.
Yeah, was nice.
ABC
Chiefs will probably use that one tomorrow and it will go for a TD.
Unless they were trying to take or outsmart USC.
The accuracy he has downfield is sick.
