the way he quit on his team in the UCLA-Kentucky game in the tournament told me all I needed to know. Played like dogshit, looked like he wasnt even trying, and then in the post game locker room all he wanted to talk about was the NBA.
I’m not saying he needs to run in like Kermit Washington but make a concerted effort to appear uninterested is a massive red flag and I would be annoyed if I was his teammate
His Dad really screwed him over when it comes to Â
the NBA. I can't respect any player that would just walk away from his teammates like that. Then it gets magnified because his Dad is an ahole. Kid is in a tough spot, but he is not helping himself with that weak ass move right there.

Yeah, one way or another, you gotta stand with your teammates. You don't have to dive into the fight, but you can't do that glance over the shoulder and ignore it thing, either.
That he was never really interested in the sport and was forced into it as a kid by his father. Wasn't this idea first floated by some unnamed scout during the draft? While sadly this does happen to some kids, he is an adult now so I don't know how much to put into that idea. But I do remember reading it.
Lakers aren't making it easy on Lebron to go there. Â

I don't really think he is an adult. He certainly doesn't have a grown man's body type. Wasn't he a one and done player? He's essentially a high school kid, and kids that come up thru the US system aren't always prepared for their rookie season. Russell definitely wasn't either.
Soccer-mom-on-steroids overbearing attention whoring father comes into play. He's a struggling rookie, but his struggles are amplified since his jackass Dad has thrust him into the spotlight and Daddy is living vicariously through son. Not to mention, everyone is rooting against him simply because of his father. I know I am.
...he was aware of the two bumping each other and squaring off but didn't think it would amount to anything more than that so he just continued moving along rather than add to the confrontation. And for the most part he was right.... Show's over, nothing to see here - ( New Window )
If he hadn't walked away and instead inserted himself in the confrontation, wouldn't most of you have called him a punk for getting involved?
no not if he is protecting his teammates and no one said go int here and sucker punch somebody, walk in and try to break it up grab a couple of teammates and get them out of there...
he literally walked away and it baaically says not my problem...
now if he gets into an altercation do you think his teammates are going to come running in or walk away?

That’s a bit of a stretch, no? A bit of context would be needed in that scenario. If he was simply in the scrum getting guys back or something why would peoples call him a punk? If he flew into the scrum throwing hay makers and cheap shooting people, that’s a punk.
There doesn’t ALWAYS have to be a devils advocate. Especially if it involves unprovable assumptions.

I subscribe to this theory as well. His father being the control freak douche that he is, is probably still pulling his kids strings to the point of even "managing his finances" especially now that he's making NBA money. This kid needs to cut the ties and follow his own dream.
is a hell of a promo machine, but basically a shitty human being and father. The male Kris Khardashian.
And in a few years, that's going to be where the Balls will be - a reality TV family.
If Lonzo didn't have Don King Jr. as a Dad, he'd probably have been drafted in the mid-1st round. The questions people had about him are coming true, and unfortunately, a lot of those questions were about toughness, dedication and loyalty.
I barely watch college hoops these days, so I hadn't seen much of him @ UCLA. Watching him in the pros this year, I've been shocked to see how ugly his game is. I don't understand what the hype was all about. Kid looks like complete trash.

Fuck him.
Again, Frank shines in contrast, in this category. In action, and in follow-up. And the vets saw it, love it, and have his back 100 percent.
Makes me very happy to see the change of ride in The Garden.

Right choice - ( New Window )
The real problem?
He sucks ass.

Aren't they already a reality TV family?
