Draft order

ray in arlington : 11/19/2017 8:11 pm
The draft order tiebreaker is strength of schedule. This is based on games happening this year, not last year.

The SOS based on games played so far is not necessarily of interest, as it includes irrelevant games for which both teams will have played the same opponent before the year ends. The only relevant games in an SOS comparison between two teams are games they don't have in common, and one can just total up wins in those games rather than calculate the SOS percentage. The total wins are given in parentheses - in case of a tie the team with smaller amount is trending toward picking ahead.

1. CLE 0-10 (NYG 92 CLE 94)*
2. SF 1-9 (NYG 58 SF 60)*
(For tie with SF, NYG has 28 possible pickups from future games, SF has 29).
3. NYG 2-8
4. DEN 3-7 (DEN 42 NYG 45)
5. IND 3-7 (IND 56 NYG 58)
6. CHI 3-7 (NYG 60 CHI 69)
Nine teams at 4-6.

* = includes automatic pickups from future games (a more refined calculation)
Denver in full freefall

You can add them to the list of teams who are in the QB market.
Cleveland
BocaGiants91 : 11/19/2017 8:25 pm : link
0-16 for them seems possible and entirely likely at this point, they are tanking hard for that top pick.

I don’t think they are tanking. I watched a bunch of their game today. They play hard, but they get such bad QB play weekly, they have no shot. They made their bed by passing on guys like Watson and Wentz and have been sleeping in it since.

Now that being said, I do think they might win a game or (gasp!) 2 this year. In weeks 15 and 16, they play Baltimore at home and at Chicago.

has to be the biggest laughingstock/shitshow of a franchise across all 4 major sports for at least a decade.

we need to stay top 3. SF may trade out to another QB-hungry team and Denver will likely be in the market too.
Really

Or we could trade with SF since we won't have that far to move up

Then the NYG take Barkley.
Staying at 3 insures they get one of Darnold (if he declares), Rosen, or Barkley.

certainly no scout, but i prefer no Barkley. i want Rosen/Darnold or trade down for more picks.
Quentin Nelson please.

Assuming we win a few more.
The Giants are going to screw this up.
Diver_Down : 11/19/2017 8:41 pm : link
But they'll feel good that they mustered 12 points in overtime in November.

If it took to get Rosen or Darnold, would you give up what the Bears did last year to move up one spot for Trubisky?

Quite possible Rosen refuses to play for Cleveland a la Eli with SD
Vanzetti : 11/19/2017 8:58 pm : link
I think Giants can get him but it is going to cost at least a first and third and maybe more because they will have competition for the pick from Denver and Houston

HOU = Watson...

Will trade out of #2 if he thinks Jimmy G is his man. Pretty confident as of now that Darnold and Rosen will go 1 & 2 either way, in no particular order. Still a long way to go and a lot can change from now until April.
Ironic thing is

Reese and Mac know the only way they possible save their jobs means NOT getting close to a top pick.

Cincinnati and possibly the Chargers if they want to move on from Rivers. Houston is set at QB
Jets will get in the mix, too.

100% agree. Nelson at LG, re-sign Fluker for RG.

He is a top 10 pick. Win a couple more

Skins could look to move up too if Cousins moves on
2nd or 3rd pick

will be a sweeet place to trade out of.

Plenty of teams looking qb this offseason.

Need Niners to win a game.

At where the Broncos currently are slotted (4th based on Ray's info), you can almost bet it all that Elway and the Broncos will make whatever trade they need to make to go from #4 to #1 to get whatever QB they desire.

If one was considering trading Eli to Denver, the Broncos now solid footing in the top 5 of the draft puts QB firmly in play for them rather than making a trade.

The way it might break down, the Giants and Broncos may end up with the same amount of wins. I'm not sure we lose the tiebreaker with that, but who knows.

Giants probably won't win
Big Rick in FL : 11/20/2017 9:23 am : link
Another game this year. Every team we play except the Cardinals have a better QB then the Chiefs. We can't score. So as long as you can put up 15+ points you're going to beat the Giants.
