Especially at the end. The fans kind of thought that Kansas City would crawl back into the game with the low score. I think they were surprised they were keeping the Chiefs down for the whole game, so the later it got and the more the chances increase for a win, the more we were into it.
not a terribly spirited crowd, though that's to be expected. My section had lots of empty seats, and as road teams go, not that many Chiefs fans. But in big moments there was life - the int's, Jackrabbit's non-int, and the big play at the end drew big cheers. The fake punt was pretty well received, especially since the crowd was, shall we say, less than enthused with the seeming decision to punt in the first place. Aside from just general disappointment with the season, I got the impression most fans were happy to see the team do well, but felt the conflict expressed frequently here regarding draft position.
I move down to section 103 and holy crap there was this fat white trash Chiefs fan. She, he or it... could have given any Eagle fan a run for their money...Good god
RE: Your fascination with crowd splits for all sports
It sounded loud through the TV but it was obvious that the network was focusing on areas of the stadium that had more people because the stadium shots clearly showed a stadium only at about 60 percent capacity.
Stadium had more Giant fans than I expected. There were pockets of empty seats, but not too bad. I suspect most fans couldn't stomach eating the tickets.
I used this meaningless game to bring my 4 year old to her first game. We didn't feel bad leaving at the start of the 4th when it got too cold for her. It turned out to be an awesome day.
In every section. I'd say 15k no shows, maybe 20. Zero energy for most of first half.
Upper deck all stand alone beer stands were closed. (Not to say you could not buy beer). Not at lower level. Giants knew they would have sparse crowd, especially in upper deck do they short changed people up stairs.
Was in the 300's on the sunny side, winds were very strong throughout. Was as quiet a crownd as I have ever seen live. Almost no one stood for any defensive efforts until the 4th quarter/overtime. Not too many Chiefs fans it is pretty far. I expect the Dallas/Philly games will be worse.
Great that we got to experience a Eli come from behind victory.

I thought maybe 5% Chief fans on TV.
It did not look too empty but I guess that was because they showed the lower bowl.
Has it ever been that empty at Metlife?
67% Giants fans
20% Chief fans
13% undecided

Undecided? LOL..
Did they get off of the train at the wrong station and end up at a football game?
crowd wanted a win....but McAdoo has lost the fans in stadium

Yes right across from me

A guy here at the office that does security for NFL said the estimate was about 30% no-shows.
Yeah, but those are all Iowa fans. The Red River Shootout is a better choice:
