We won the battle at the line of scrimmage. Wheeler has a mean streak. He handled his opponent, then he actually turned and helped his line mates pickup blocks.
The Line grinded out a respectable rushing attack today. Flowers, Fluker , and Jerry were executing blocks downfield, which we never see. As for Jones he seems to be rolling around on the ground. I'm not sure if he was getting destroyed or what.
Lets keep going, It would be great for Gallman to break a long one for his confidence.
Eli didn't know what to do with all the time he had. The receivers could develop into an experienced second group for next year. We absolutely will draft 2 O-Linemen, WR, RB 2DB's LB D-Lineman............
True, they did not challenge and it looked good.
The problem is they only scored 12 points in a game against a bad defense in which the line played well.
The Giants remain a team that is in transition. They will need to turn the page on the Eli era and hopefully get a franchise QB in a disaster season. The upshot is that if they don't get the heir apparent, at least for now, they are positioned well for what appears to be a remarkable talent at RB in Saquon Barkley.
But if they go QB and they miss, it could spell disaster for this team for a very long time. The franchise is in a very precarious position.
#1A priority, complimentary WR
Jones is a back-up, that's all, so #A1 priority is Center (Richburg is not the answer)
Our defense has all the pieces in place, save a MLB that can cover - #1B priority - MLB
That's three top tier players. EVERYTHING else is gravy
Bottom line, we don't have a seriously talent poor team; just three gigantic holes. Can Reese (or the next GM), find those three players ?
If we can, Eli's got enough left to make at least two more Super Bowl runs.

Eli had time to throw on multiple occasions. Hence, some long balls. Too bad the Giants didn't get a "catch" called on that deep pass to Rudolph down the left side line.

McAdoo has a lot of work to do if he wants to remain head coach.
Are they allowed to challenge? I thought in overtime all challenges were booth challenges. Or did they change that?
IIRC they'd burned one time-out and I figured they didn't want to risk burning a second one in a close game.
I still don't understand why it wasn't a TD in OT? Lewis didn't catch the ball until after the contact with the DB. Did they explain that on TV?
Even the pass to Lewis was under thrown and is probably picked if the corner didn’t pull Lewis down

When he gained control of the ball he was laying on the ground and the DB's hand was still on his arm, so he was down by contact.

that and the fact Shepherd didn't play so Eli had no WRs to throw to.

Ha ha ha. I personally believe OBJ, Shep, and Marshall all faked injury just to save their health.
Eli has gotten the message and is focused on accuracy. He is aware he is directly responsible for assisting in receivers staying healthy.
I was impressed because he even ran for a first down yesterday. So Eli gets a my respect yesterday. More of a game manager yesterday. I enjoy the game more when there is a good running attack.
He didn't injure Cruz - he instead snuck in at night and gave Nicks Compartment syndrome though.
Rat-faced Eli!!
It seems to me a passable OL was actually possible with this roster from the beginning of McAdoo hadn't been using the wrong players and putting some of them in the wrong places.
Bragley Chubb makes a lot of sense the injuries keep reoccurring with Vernon and JPP with not much behind them although Moss is looking pretty good .
Nelso is nother guy I would not mind either have to get stronger in the trenches

It's a shame no one could get that message through to a younger version of Eli. We coulda been a contender.
