Sorry gang. I know this is not my usual stance, and I did enjoy the win yesterday, but I didn't see anything in the Giants play that gave me any reason to believe they didn't suck.
I really don't think we'll be beating any of the NFCE teams - and the game we're supposed to win - the Cardinals -- well see the 49er's game.
This is a bad team this year -- root for whatever you want -- I never want to see them lose, but they have been losing because they are awful. What did you see that gives you reason to think overwise.
The turnovers yesterday were the difference in the game -- Snacks in the right place at the right time and the ball just lands in his wheelhouse -- look what I found Ma! Jack Rabbit seeing a ball takin astray by the wind and plucking it unchallenged by a KC player within 10 or 15 yds -- look what I found Ma!
Nope KC did not handle the wind well yesterday - and they underestimated the Giants - just like the Bronco's did.
My friends there were many Offensive plays yesterday where the Giants looked like they didn't have a clue, and the usual muffs we've been seeing all season still occurred -- I was not overly impressed with the Defense either. They were inconsistent at best.
Enjoy the win - because more misery is coming.
I really thought they had quit.
If the defense doesn't play lights out, we don't have a chance. That's what 2017 has shown repeatedly.
This. Great defensive effort yesterday, but playing a weak armed QB on a windy day helped. The offense still sucks, and that is supposed to be McAdoo's strong suit.
I've never been in the "blow it up" camp, but a few people stepped forward yesterday and made pitches to be a part of positives going forward.
Wheeler, to me, was a smallish big deal. Also thought Darkwa solidified himself as a piece, even if he's a backup. Not a bad one at all.
Don't think I see yesterday's win as anything other than what it was. A better effort, and for a some guys, a good resume-builder.
* McAdoo still sucks, as does this offensive scheme.
* where were the trick plays, the calling out individuals for poor play, the desperation in Week 3 when it still mattered?
* the roster is still bereft of any talent at LB, DE (maybe Vernon excepted) RB. Gallman may be something, need to see more. Need more CB and S as well.
Though I can't "root to lose", I think the worst thing that can happen is that they finish strongly enough that Reese survives and McAdoo and staff aren't canned.
our 2 W's have come against one team that has equally derailed and would now be picking top 5 also, and the other is against a team that has now lost 4 of 5.
this team is systemically broken and needs sweeping changes. the idea that they should get some props for McAdoo getting them to actually show up and TRY for the first time in a few weeks speaks enough for itself.
That's the NFL.
I think we'll win maybe 1 or 2 more games max.
The Broncos are a much better team than their record - they have a sucky QB and they have learned to believe that the Defense can carry them -- they have a terrific defense -- but the Giants loss sent them on a tailspin -- they should not have lost that game -- just like KC should not have lost yesterday. Both teams forgot who and what they were when they played the Giants.
Sorry Charlie, but the defense is good enough to beat a flat, inept offense with a weak armed QB on a windy day. They're not good enough to beat a team with a real offense.

They didn’t underestimate anyone.

Be leery of Denver in April. Elway needs a QB badly. He and Lynch are tight. I can definitely see that relationship helping Denver facilitate a trade for the #2 (assuming it plays out Cleveland, SF, NYG) in the draft.
Also, KC isn't that good this year.
The Giants D had a major improvement in effort and played better, Wheeler wasn't a disaster and Eli had a better game. But perhaps most notably, the Chiefs didn't play as well as they were playing at the start of the season. And by comparison to those games, actually looked sluggish. And they also made a number of critical bad decisions and mistakes.
There are some decent players on the Giants roster, but a thorough reassessment and rebuilding is needed, with new leadership at both HC and GM. Once TC departed (Who had his own problems.) I've seen nothing from a McAdoo offense to suggest I want him to stick around.

Please expand on how the offensive game plan sucked, please.
They get criticized even when they are making plays. {smh}
- The only consistently good WR on the roster is Sterling Shepard, and he didn't play yesterday. No Beckham, no Marshall, no Harris. It is likely none of the current crop that's playing will be back (except Shepard, maybe Lewis & King).
- No Pugh or Richburg yesterday. Richburg is out for the season. Pugh can't stay healthy. These guys were considered to be the best guys we had up front.
- Chad Wheeler is our starting RT currently. Yes, it is a good thing, he looks to have upside. Certainly better than Hart. But, let's not mistake him for Kareem McKensie, at least not yet. He had a tough day in pass protection.
DC team way unstable, we could split- small victory
cowboys are falling apart- too bad they may actually fire garrett and someone could come in and wake them - winnable game - Windy &snow
Only lost to Eagles by fluke kick, maybe they will be resting.
5-11 top 5 pick. See ya next draft day

Yesterday was just a single game in an otherwise dismal season. Nobody believes yesterday was a springboard to anything bigger/better.
