rumblings that the team thinks McCoy's scheme is too complicated. So I guess they're going to simplify things. Where have we heard that before?
Ha ha. Whenever the offense isn't working the "insiders" say its too complicated (read the players). This is because it couldn't possibly be the players. It couldn't possible be because their QB sucks (either one) and their RB's are the most overrated tandem in the NFL.
I can't believe people would want to bring in McCoy after the train Â
wreck he made out of the Denver offense! It is always amazing and amusing that as soon as a player is cut or a coach is fired people start jumping up and down to kick the tires!
I was reading about the firing and went to a few of the Bronco fan forums. It is funny, they complain about the Broncos organization being a shit-show as much as we do. There are articles on Elway's poor drafting, too.
The line gives up a lot of pressure and the qbs are terrible. Osweiler is bad enough he lost his job to Tom Savage and wasn't wanted in cleveland. Siemian isn't much better

The Hall of Fame QB needs to find a QB for his team!
Siemien was a 7th Rd. pick, Paxton Lynch was a reach at #25
in the first round. Well, they brought back Osweiler...
good luck there. McCoy was not the problem though,
just a scapegoat.
Be careful what you wish for. Firing a coordinator this late in a lost season would almost insure that McAdoo comes back. Otherwise, why make the switch?
I have to think firing McCoy is Elway's idea, his comments about his team being soft don't bode well for Vance Joseph's chances of making it to next year.
when John Elway was a genius? Now he's firing guys for not getting it done with Trevor Siemian and Brock Osweiler.
Funny how that works. Most GMs either get lucky or they don't. Some are better than others but most are only as good as the coach and qb they "discovered."
I could have sworn Elway was seriously kicking the tires... Â
That said, I don't want a WCO anymore, moving forward.

Someone should tell the Mara's
Can we also explain to them exactly what the benefit is to doing so? clearly it must be easily articulated and apparent to everyone....
And yet Tom Quinn skates by every year with piss poor special teams play

We've fired coordinators mid season before. Just ask Hufnagel.

That's a special case.
Simple, complicated, doesn't matter if you don't have a QB.
Joseph will not be fired this year. he will get a year 2.

Paxton Lynch got hurt over Summer Training camp I believe and can't play at all this year. That can't help them at all.

Lynch lost the job before he got hurt...

Making Musgrave the OC for the Raiders game might make sense:
