hitting up the Garden for Red Hot Hockey on Saturday and, although I get there a few times a year for various events, usually have dinner in other parts of the city. It used to be a culinary dead-zone, at least the last time I was in that area looking to eat.
Does anyone have any suggestions for 3 guys to have dinner before the game (aside from the Olive Garden and Sbarro, obviously)? I'm really looking for something better than chicken wings at Stout, but we don't need Eleven Madison Park for a pre-game meal either.
I ate upstairs there a couple months ago before the McCartney concert and sat in front of my own TV watching one of the 4pm games. Nice place. Forget what I ate.

I eat there once a month roughly while waiting for my train. Nothing wrong with tracks.
I wouldn't get any of their raw bar stuff, but the extra spicy wings and fried calamari are delicious.
Very good recommendation. Cash only though - just a heads up.
Great place! I've had a few times where I've gone in there for a beer, and ended up texting the wife that I was "working late" while putting in a 4 hour shift there.
Closest thing to a real irish sports pub in penn station.

But I'll hit up Tracks in Penn Station every once in a while. It's usually easy to get a spot at the bar or get a table, even pre show during rush hour. They have really really good wings and the service is excellent. A little under the radar spot.

Oddly enough, Kabooz's wings are also pretty good.

Yes. Kaboozs wings are excellent. Good quesadillas too. Customer service is good and the manager is a really nice dude. If you're going to a concert at MSG he makes sure to play a setlist of the music of the band you're going to see. Can't go wrong with either.
