FF Thread 11-21

So I have lost 2 in a row to drop to 7-4. I was in 2nd and now based on points I am in 5th.

So todays inquires are would you play:
If Olsen is active would you play him this week at Jets or stick with Cook?

and

Seattle Defense at 49ers or Minnesota Def at Det?

Seattle D
UConn4523 : 11/21/2017 9:11 am : link
is interesting. I was going to drop them once Sherman and Chancellor got hurt but I kept them on my bench for matchup purposes (I start Baltimore otherwise). Their run D is still elite and against a team like the 49ers I may end up starting them.

As for starting them or Minny, its a toss up. I'd wait for inactives or injuries to come out and go from there.

If they are reporting no restrictions for Olsen than start him.
I'm pretty much done in my league as
beatrixkiddo : 11/21/2017 9:21 am : link
any trade that goes through is getting vetoed. I have no chance to improve my team to compete, I hate people having the power to veto trade agreements, its ruined the league for me. If that rule doesn't change next year I'm done.

I was two seconds away from adding Kenny Stills on Sunday morning and thought I wouldn't need to because I already had 40 from AB... wound up costing me in the BBI league. Left Shepard in a starting slot and thought I could win with a 0 in there.

Still would have been fine if Dak had an even average game. Negative 5 fucking points.

I'm 10-1 in my other 12 team league. Someone dropped Rodgers and it looks like I'm going to have a bye - my first playoff game would be Week 15 and that's when he may be back. I still have like $45 left in waiver budget. Should I drop a good chunk on him?

I had Watson but now I'm starting Carr. If I have Rodgers in the playoffs, I don't see anyone beating me. My team would be...

Rodgers/Carr
Hunt/Gurley/McCaffrey/McKinnon/Perine/Mack/Ekeler
Green/Diggs/Funchess/Hogan/Westbrook

you just couldn't handle the power of "Pjcas18's Neat Team".

I saw you had Shepard in and said damn, that's arrogant, his team is great, but he thinks he can beat me short-handed and I willed my team to victory because of that disrespect. otherwise I would have been content to let you win.

lost most of my bigger leagues despite scoring decently. Need to have 2 big weeks to try to get in the top 2 in scoring in those now as I can't catch the league record leaders.

In my home leagues, locked up playoff spots in 8 of my 9 leagues (dead last in the other). My dynasty team started 0-5 and is now 5-6 and will be in the playoffs. Locked up the #1 seed in the BBI league, hope my team doesn't go cold with 3 weeks off.

Nearly every trade that has been proposed has been vetoed in my league. It only takes 30% of the league to veto, and people are just doing it out of spite, and from people who have better records at this point and don't want any competition from knocking them out. It's total bull and is ruining the whole purpose of the game.
If Devonta Freeman
pjcas18 : 11/21/2017 9:46 am : link
is out again I'm in need of a RB.

I have Joe Mixon, but either that OL in CIN sucks or he is struggling (admittedly haven't watched a snap).

My FA options are:

Devontae Booker
Corey Clement
JD McKissic
Tarik Cohen
Matt Forte

other lesser considerations:
Breida
Yeldon
Ivory
Lacy

I have had Cohen on my roster (my other RB besides Freeman and Mixon is Howard) and Cohen has been feast or famine, but the feast isn't great enough IMO for the risk/reward.

Both Booker and Clement have crowded backfields and McKissic has a poor rushing team.

Cohen could be a good play this week

especially if the Eagles jump ahead early. I'm thinking of Flexing him or Woodhead.
Greg Olsen
davek3698 : 11/21/2017 9:59 am : link
Do you think he will be productive his first week back? My other TEs are Delanie Walker and Jack Doyle.

Yeah, People look at these trades at face value and do not take the situation into account.

Earlier in the year, a guy wanted to trade me a top QB for a tier 2 WR. He had THREE top QBs (for some reason decided that was a smart draft strategy) and it left him completely bare when it comes to WRs. So, for him he would still had two top QBs by making the trade and now has an upgrade at WR. The trade got cancelled by the league because player for player it did not appear to be equal. Nobody was going to give him Antonio Brown or OBJ at the time.

The other two guys are a safer play. Who knows what Olsen is going to do in his first week.
Yeah I would play Walker
allstarjim : 11/21/2017 12:49 pm : link
But Olsen is back, and you should feel free to drop or trade Doyle if you have an opportunity to improve your team.
i'm faced with a similar issue at TE
djm : 11/21/2017 1:13 pm : link
I have Doyle and Seferas-Jenkins along with Olsen coming back. I think I will go Doyle until Olsen shows he's all the way back. If I had garbage to choose from i'd start Olsen but Doyle has quietly been effective all year long.
Lost this week..
TheEvilLurker : 11/21/2017 1:22 pm : link
Got screwed on the Philly kicker, but would have lost anyway...my opponent put up over 160!

I'm in 6th, one game back. If I can get into the top four, I'll be good for playoffs. Need some big points though, I'm behind.
I'm back up to 7-4 but up against the first place team this week
jgambrosio : 11/21/2017 1:29 pm : link
Have some tough decisions at WR and flex. Even QB.

Five choices for WR/flex - Corey Davis vs Indy, Dion Lewis vs Mia,Robby Anderson vs Carolina, woodhead vs Hou or Marquise Lee vs Arizona.

Even Ben vs goff - Ben looks good again.
I will never again play in a league

that has a league vote for veto's. In all of my leagues, the commissioner ultimately makes the decision. Never once had an issue. In the leagues with league votes, I've never not had an issue. People veto for all the wrong reasons.
I was offered a trade
Blue The Dog : 11/21/2017 3:25 pm : link
Half PPR 12-Team League - In 2nd place (playoff spot secured), with playoffs weeks 14-16

Get: Cam Newton and Paul Richardson
Give: Big Ben and Demaryius Thomas

My Team
QB - Big Ben, Carr
WR - Hill, Green, D. Thomas
RB - Howard, Woodhead, Lewis, L. Murray, Montgomery, Henry

Is Cam enough of an upgrade to justify giving up Thomas, who has been consistent, and has a very favorable playoff schedule?

I took over as commish in a league a few years back where the players were allowed to veto trades. My first move was commish was to abolish that rule. I said I wouldn't be commish unless I could get rid of that crap.

I wouldn't join a league that allowed for players to veto. Put 10-14 people in an environment and shit is going to get stupid the second you allow for independent thought. Let's be honest, people suck.

I would do it, Thomas is about to get Paxton'd. When is your trade deadline? Awfully late to still make trades.
