Darrelle Revis back in the NFL with the Chiefs

#Chiefs CB Darrelle Revis signed a 2-year deal that pays him the minimum (with incentives available) for 2017 and $10M for 2018, I’m told. KC must make a decision by the start of the 2018 league year before the money becomes guaranteed.

Chiefs have been trying to sign Darrelle Revis for much of this season, per source. He wouldn’t take the deal - until now.
makes sense

Hard to know what DR has left

He really fell off the cliff last season. I’ll be interested to see what Big Red can get out of him. If there’s a team I’m pulling for to win the Super Bowl it’s the Chefs.

yeah. Hell we had almost 200 yards passing and 12 points. It was an aerial circus!

Personally don't think he has anything left.

hahahah

does he play only in dime packages?
He was looking for guaranteed money in 2018

but KC would not offer that. By having the Jets on the hook for his salary ($6M offset with the vet min), it costs KC nothing to see if he has anything left in the tank. Even with their recent poor showings, they are still atop the AFC West. He has a vested interest in showcasing his ability (if there is anything left). If he performs well-enough, KC will pay him his $10M next year. If he doesn't play up to that value, he might demonstrate that he is worth a lower value to 31 other teams.
