Well, really devastating news to report. I posted a thread about my good friend Taylor, who is originally from Cedar Grove, NJ that at aged 51 he had a heart attack and a stroke 6 or so weeks ago.
His aortic dissection has nearly doubled in size and he is now inoperable.
It looked like he as progressing well, getting better every day. I have kept in contact with his wife and visited him at Duke Medical Center numerous times.
Long story short, I received a call from an acquaintance that informed me that they are sending Taylor home tomorrow with hospice to die. It could be a day, a week or months.
I am devastated. Please hug your families during this holiday and realize we all have a ton to be thankful for.
Maybe the Giants can win one tomorrow in his honor.
Sorry for the ramble........
Awful.
Thanks but I’m not FMIC lol
I have survived five aortic aneurysm repairs (latest last July) -- which may be a new American record. Get your friend to Dr. James Hamilton Black III at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland. First, send Dr. Black what you have as your friend's latest CT scan (get the number to do so from Dr. Black's able staff) with whatever you have on the "inoperable" assessment. If they don't agree with the hopeless assessment you report and will fit him in, get him up there. Their whole vascular surgery section and all the doctors in it are extraordinary.
This is one h#$% of a day to have to try to deal with this, but do the best you can. And as Happy a Thanksgiving to you and your friend as I can offer under these threatening circumstances

I’ll pass this on. But I think the strike has something to do with it. Thanks.

Do not settle for the "inoperable" judgment. Maybe it's wrong.

"The strike"? I don't get the reference. Please explain.
Perry. Signs of hope. Thank you.
