The NFL golden boy Dak had a pretty rough day. See, all of the sudden he doesnt have an All Pro RB and he doesnt look so good even with that all world offensive line and Dez and HOF TE. Yeah, sure, he can still run around but no running back kind of has an impact.
But Eli? No doubt hes done because he cant play a perfect game with lousy running backs, a for shit offensive line, WRs off the practice squad and a first round draft pick that cant catch the ball when it hits him in the hands and the least creative coaching staff in the NFL. Yeah, Elis done.
How about the fact that the offense hasn't scored 30 points since the 2015 season?
Ok, how about it?
Enjoy your denial.
Enjoy your bafoonic head coach.
They're not mutually exclusive, genius..
You gonna make a point here Dave or did you just drop by to shit on me? What does theyre not mutually exclusive mean anyway? You mean Eli and McAdoo suck? How about we try to get a real head coach in here before we get rid of Eli?
They can't cut him without a big hit and they will probably not start a rookie. But if they continue to be bad on o they may have no choice. They won't blindside him but they can't lose another season stubbornly. He will get another shot with a new coach but tr leash may be short.....

Wow. Yes. They can both suck. And they both do. And no. Eli is 2 months away from 37. How about we get both?
but watching Eli, it just looks like he doesn't care anymore....whatever edge he use to have, it's gone.....there just doesn't look like there is any fire in his body....I know the line sucks....his receivers suck.....but there were plays to be made out there by an NFL QB.....he did not make them.....not that he can't make them....it's like he has accepted that this offense is so bad, why even try...

After a decade plus, two Super Bowls and a multitude of amazing plays and memories, he doesn't care? He's not trying?
Holy fucking shit. What an awesome fan you are.
He makes mistakes. He's struggling with this shit offensive unit. And his coach is a complete fucking joke.
But Eli cares. He prepares as well and as hard as he can.
Your post is watery shit.
Perfect reply to Doomster. Wth do people expect with the crap Eli is working with

To be able to complete a screen pass, for starters.
If you don't think having 8 opine combos, none of your top playmakers, and lead the leagues in dropped passes isn't the reason for the offenses lack of functionality I don't know what to say

#Giants will threaten to finish this year with the fewest points scored in a single season in franchise history. Currently 237 in 1979.

Wow. Yes. Why didnt I think of that? Well draft the next Aaron Rodgers and well sign the next Bill Belichick and then well awesome! Youre right Dave, you really are the genius here.
Ok. I could see that however with health next year I dont think the offense will have these issues but it will be interesting to see what Mara decides to do here.
Nah. You're the genius. Stick with the terrible head coach and soon to be 37 year old QB who's been struggling for awhile now. And clearly, if we can't find another Rodgers or Belechick, you stick with what ISN'T working. Brilliant.
Idiots are people who want to stick with what hasn't worked
Game we played last year in green bay eli was our b eat player. He can still play if he has tools to work with. He has nothing to work with now
A one game sample in the last 30 games or so. Stop. And he's only going to be another year older. He can start while we groom the new QB, but he isn't the QB of the future and it's time for a complete rebuild.

I dont want to stand pat, I want to fire the entire coaching staff and the GM and the equipment managers. You can go back and find for yourself all the posts Ive put here questioning McAdoos competence, even last year when many were mesmerized by his 11-6 record. McAdoo is lost and hes the reason the Giants offense has been horrible for well over two years now. We have the worst coaching staff in the NFL. Before Im running Eli out of town I want to give him a real head coach and an O-co and maybe even few decent position coaches and hey - maybe even a solid LT.

He can start another year while we groom the future QB. But he's not the answer, and no more short term fixes to get one more with Eli.
The receivers were not running their routes to where Eli expected them to be. Eli's problem for whatever reason cannot throw a short pass. There were at least a few missings to wide open receivers too.
My take on this is that is was a Thursday night game and that is a killer for both teams and more so for the visitors.
But Eli? No doubt hes done because he cant play a perfect game
If you're gonna argue, at least argue things that people are actually saying.
No one in this thread said Elis done?
Don't be intentionally obnoxious. Nobody is saying they expected him to be perfect. He's never been close to that and nobody's asking him to perform miracles. There's an in-between from bad to perfect.
And Eli has the worst body language of any QB out there Giants really need to see what Webb has it will be 2 years before they can put a strong enough line for Eli and hes a bad fit for this WCO anyway !!!

Agree! Only a moron wouldnt draft a potential franchise QB w/ our top 3 pick. But its a fucking shame because Eli can still do his job. Did you see Rivers today? Hes not done. QBs can play past 37. And Eli doesnt have the serious injuries that some of these other guys have had. Its a fuckin shame. Anyway, lets leave at that - no more short term fixes - and fire McAdoo and Reese - we agree!

Im obnoxious because Im answering your question? Did no one say Elis done in this thread? I think at least someone did. So I made a point - that even a young buck like Dak who can make plays on the run and has a terrific O line and two future HOF ends and the amazing midget man Cole Beasley looked like cowshit today without his All Pro RB. And then you commented on my post that no one said Eli was done. So... not sure how that makes me obnoxious.

Because if they're drafting in the top 3, they're going to take a QB.
Eric from BBI : Admin : 12:38 am : link : reply
If you told me before the game the Giants would have six sacks and a pick-6, I would have thought they would have won.
Eric did they mention the 6 first downs lol
Eli will be the QB next year so you clowns that want to bash him for this abomination of an offense knock yourselves out
The talent on this team is on Reese there is nothing in terms of bench strength his drafts in the trenches are terrible he refuses to get a talented RB for this team .
How long did it take just to fix the TE position let alone this joke of an offensive line that hasn't been able to run the ball for how many years now ? There were plays last week where Darkwa would get 8-15 yards in the many backs in this league would get 25-35 yards and a few would have gone to the house .
This is the worst HC I have ever seen and whatever the hell his game plan was has not worked he got away with it last year when he wore this defense completely out with many games we lucked out easily could have been 8-8 or even 7-9 . We couldn't run or score last season either . The minute you thought Flowers was turning the corner he
got whipped by a speed rusher . One of the few hopefuls we need to work out . Two top 10 picks that to me will never live up to that status . This thing needs to be blown up I don't even want Reese in the same state of the draft we can't allow him to put us any further in the hole.
Forget MacHandley he has zero qualities his use of players his handling of players stinks . I don't care how good the talent is if you can't figure out where to play them and how to utilize them and or inspire them . Your not gonna win in this league .
The offense is the same no matter who we play there is nothing done to help a struggling Flowers you sign a FB
waste the roster spot cut him and bring him back . WTF
Adams to me should have been used much more as well as Ellison . Anointing Perkins as the starter bring zero competition in . Lets not for get the 200 million we spent on the defense from this poorly crafted team .
We got a shiny new toy in Engram and now he is being used as OBJ was because he was the only guy that could separate
Who the hell ever thought Eli Manning was a good short passer or touch passer and please with the screen game
that's laughable something that we have not been good at for quite some time . Dink and Dunk is not Eli's game the biggest mistake was not cleaning house when they let TC go
But Eli? No doubt hes done because he cant play a perfect game
If you're gonna argue, at least argue things that people are actually saying.

It's obnoxious to fake an argument that people are claiming he's done because he wasn't perfect. Nobody at any point is suggesting he should have been perfect.

You're not the first person to use this point, but I don't understand why this even is a talking point. "good short passer" isn't some kind of special skill. It's not a high degree of difficulty thing. It's a basic function of the job. No other QB on any other team in the league would get this kind of excuse making but for Eli it passes as if people who are critical of his inability to consistently hit short passes with touch and accuracy are demanding some kind of hall of fame talent.
Those are the easy plays a QB is expected to make. It's not an exceptional thing to ask. It's expected.
Its an NFC East game two very bad teams playing a very physical low scoring game. Thats with a short week and multi injured players on both teams with one knowing its season has been done for weeks. The not punting late was a suspect call but the record says you have nothing to lose big surprise we did not go down field for a twenty five yard passing play or more when all we needed was I believe three yards.
Lets be honest did you really expect them to win, I was just glad to see a close game that we lost. Thats all I want to see from this point on new more 25 points or more losses. Forget all the bad numbers what we saw tonight has been going on for years no one can explain it Im positive. The defense has to allow THREE points and score six for a chance for us to win thats the team goal from now on. Now if thats the case why cant we see whats Webb capable of doing its not like the offense is working great. Eli is a good QB but also one who cant get this offense to work properly from play to play or more than one or two drives a game is it really all that hard to find another QB who can only do that?
For those of you who want to blame the GM and coaches just consider this if we change all those guys and still bring Eli back what will really have changed? Do you see someone coming in and making Eli all of a sudden mobile, accurate and a hell raiser when guys dont perform on the field. How many years in the league yet we still cant run a damn simple screen.
But Eli? No doubt hes done because he cant play a perfect game
If you're gonna argue, at least argue things that people are actually saying.

I think its obnoxious to comment on my post and fail to make any sort of point whatsoever. You an all too common type around here that shit on other people without bothering to make sort of a point. Make a some kind of point or just feel free to breeze on past my post altogether.
He has no future with this team and once on the field the defense knows its a passing play any idiot can figure that out. Let the other two or three backs learn Vereen will most likely not be back next year. Many will say he provides big play capabilities but we have yet to see one why keep holding the other backs from learning and see what they can and cant do.

My point is pretty simple. You just want to keep trucking along arguing things that people aren't saying so you can claim people are being unreasonable with their criticism. If that's how you choose to discuss things, then yeah, I've got no problems ignoring it going forward.

B in ALB what else would you expect from Doomster? He's always been an incredible piece of shit poster.
Simple math: if the Giants allow more than 10 points to score
If you can't see the malaise in Eli's playing, you never will. He is going through the motions out of frustration, from what is happening around him.
But whether he likes it or not?, he is the leader of this offense, and this offense only goes as far as he will carry it...Yes, there are breakdowns by the OL and receivers but that doesn't justify him missing throws rookies should make.
No one is saying it's all Eli's fault, but this offense needs more out of him than he is giving.
but his limitations right now contribute to the ineffectiveness of the offense.
We will not (and should not) try to replace 10 other players on the offense to fit Eli at this point in his career. Plus, the league has changed. If you think about it... Eli, Ben and Rivers may be the last three successful QBs drafted who are not mobile. Defenses have improved and it is tough for the QB to sit back there and be highly successful. Russell Wilson has a shit OL and a shit running game. He is not a great QB but having the ability to leak out of the pocket and make some plays on the run is the only reason why that offense can move the ball at all. It does not mean ANY mobile QB will be successful. You still have to be a good QB and make smart decisions.
Now, we have Eli. He is never going to create outside of the pocket. We know his OL sucks but hey most QBs are not sitting back there with all day to throw. What we absolutely MUST get from him is consistency and accurate throws. I am FINE with you not being mobile. I am ok with the occasional interception and strip sack from you. What we cannot have is our franchise QB missing so many open WRs. Yes, there are a ridiculous number of drops right now which puts a higher level of importance on Eli's accuracy. We can expect 3rd string WRs and a rookie TE to fail at their job. We cannot have that from our franchise QB.

you could put Jesus Christ at qb and this offense would be crap. Its a bad scheme with no speed. You can bet Eli is discouraged. He's been in thebLeague longer than the HC andvhe worked with Professors Gilbride and Coughlin. Now he's stuck with the slow kid fromntge back of the class. You'd be discouraged too if every week seemed a suicide mission.

Yea and the Seahawks are a fringe playoff team at this point trending towards the outside looking in.

Eli isn't a rookie or 2nd year QB..

It doesn't look like there's any fire in his body? (What the fuck does that mean?)
Why even try?
After a decade plus, two Super Bowls and a multitude of amazing plays and memories, he doesn't care? He's not trying?
Holy fucking shit. What an awesome fan you are.

Perfect reply to Doomster. Wth do people expect with the crap Eli is working with
To be able to complete a screen pass, for starters.
@JamesKratch
#Giants will threaten to finish this year with the fewest points scored in a single season in franchise history. Currently 237 in 1979.

Wow. Yes. They can both suck. And they both do. And no. Eli is 2 months away from 37. How about we get both?
Wow. Yes. Why didnt I think of that? Well draft the next Aaron Rodgers and well sign the next Bill Belichick and then well awesome! Youre right Dave, you really are the genius here.
You could put any QB in the league in this offense and it would look the same.
If the coach says run this shitty play with these shitty players, you think a QB is going to change the predictably shitty outcome?
This team realistically may have to replace 5 starting OL for the 18 season.
A one game sample in the last 30 games or so. Stop. And he's only going to be another year older. He can start while we groom the new QB, but he isn't the QB of the future and it's time for a complete rebuild.

Thats weird. This board says you shouldnt since money into your really talented skill position players. Which one is it?
I dont want to stand pat, I want to fire the entire coaching staff and the GM and the equipment managers. You can go back and find for yourself all the posts Ive put here questioning McAdoos competence, even last year when many were mesmerized by his 11-6 record. McAdoo is lost and hes the reason the Giants offense has been horrible for well over two years now. We have the worst coaching staff in the NFL. Before Im running Eli out of town I want to give him a real head coach and an O-co and maybe even few decent position coaches and hey - maybe even a solid LT.
Quote:
Nah. You're the genius. Stick with the terrible head coach and soon to be 37 year old QB who's been struggling for awhile now. And clearly, if we can't find another Rodgers or Belechick, you stick with what ISN'T working. Brilliant.

He can start another year while we groom the future QB. But he's not the answer, and no more short term fixes to get one more with Eli.
All alot of people are saying is that they disagree.
My take on this is that is was a Thursday night game and that is a killer for both teams and more so for the visitors.

Don't be intentionally obnoxious. Nobody is saying they expected him to be perfect. He's never been close to that and nobody's asking him to perform miracles. There's an in-between from bad to perfect.

Have you watched Rivers the rest of the year?
Not much. Do I have to argue with too now?

Why isn't Webb the future QB, and he is already being groomed.

Because if they're drafting in the top 3, they're going to take a QB.

My point is pretty simple. You just want to keep trucking along arguing things that people aren't saying so you can claim people are being unreasonable with their criticism. If that's how you choose to discuss things, then yeah, I've got no problems ignoring it going forward.

That is how pathetic this offense is with Eli at the helm...
Typical response from you!
Yes, some of it is OL. Some of it is injuries. Some of it is a declining QB. Some of it is Coaching and scheme.
But if any of you think its getting better by only changing one or even two of the above, thats being kind if not myopic.
We cannot have that from our franchise QB.
well, its worse and you guys are still screwing around with your magic formulas while thevreal issues are in the front office.
Typical response from you!

Yea and the Seahawks are a fringe playoff team at this point trending towards the outside looking in.
