since I started following this team 27 years ago (I was 8 back then). Below is the starting 11 on both sides of the ball tonight, you tell me how many of these players you want back next year...
Eli
Darkwa
Smith
King
Lewis Jr
Engram
Flowers
Jerry
Jones
Hilipao
Wheeler
JPP
Snacks
Tomlinson
Vernon
Casillas
Sheperd
Kennard
Jenkins
DRC
Collins
Thompson
Offense is shit, LBs are slow as dirt, and our DEs struggle getting to the QB. Reese has put a BAD team together and has to go!
The D is ok. We need better LBers, FS, CB depth and another pass rushing DE, but they are keeping us in games of late.
Offense is BRUTAL. I mean the perfect storm of aging Starting QB, crappy Oline, receivers dropping balks and poor running game. Oh and the scheme sucks ass too. No creativity.
The mid-90s team would drop a few games where they would score 30+ points. This team this year struggles to score double digits anymore.
And the amazing thing is the Giants are playing their best ball right now. This is the best they have to offer, injuries and all. You know it. I know it. They haven't played more organized or inspired ball all year long.
Let that marinate for a bit.
We also have zero playmakers right now on offense with OBJ and Shep out. When was the last time a RB broke a long TD run, or a WR took a reception to the house??
Its like scary bad...
They missed Sheppard a lot on this game.
The offense is kind of a mess. Eli's fading. The line is patchwork. The wide receivers we saw tonight are replacement level. Engram's a talent but in a slump (rookie hitting the wall?). Vereen's a nice complementary player. Gallman's nice but if he were going to be an impact player, we'd be seeing it.
The most optimistic view would be that this is the rebuilding year, and getting guys like Wheeler and Engram in was the point. The problem is, it was framed as a "Super Bowl contender" year, not a rebuilding year.
My take: This is the most disappointing Giants team I've watched.
So you would take this team over the 2013-14 team?
Its like scary bad...
Nope. Not once. And I have to say Eli is wayyyyyyyyy to quick to bail on a play. Chuck duck rinse repeat.

In the league. Stop being so overly dramatic.

There’s more to work with going forward into 2018 on this roster. Especially on defense. And they are younger.
When most teams run to their right side, and you haven't had a decent right side of the OL in 5 years, there's a problem.
The front office blew it in the drafts in the trenches .
The biggest mistake is Eli has never been suited for this
WCO ? So huge mistake in picking MacHandley for the job
sure maybe he could do better starting from scratch but
its a total failure and a huge waste of Eli's prime years
and I still think there is enough talent around with the right moves to be made with a system that fits . It's time to clean house Eli's a couple good years left enough time to
get Webb ready . If we have a shot at Barkley I would run
to the podium then fix the O-line in free agency . Use the draft to grab a center and cover LB and possibly another CB
