I heard his mom was having surgery and that's really tough to deal with.

But the hard ass in me wonders if he'd have been available if the team was 8-2.

Yeah, I heard that in the post game presser but there was a follow up as to whether it was a discipline issue and McAdoo demurred with one of his, I already answered the question dodges. I know he missed time with his mom in surgery but not sure what today was all about. Anyway...

Could not have won or lost the game not sure why he got the inactive but in the end it was a no factor. He will be active next week for sure Deayon done for the year and Jenkins in a boot. To this day I still can�t figure out why Hunter went from our fourth CB to on the streets?

Went Mac uses 3 WRs like 90 % of the time it was a warning sign. Worse was that they spent to get Ellison. Drafted Engram and kept
Smith and he pretty much didn't use them to diversify or help out the run game despite his supposed desire to be more "heavy handed"

I'm not sure and no one really knows how involved he is w the personnel or the defensive scheme/game planning but there have been issues w all 3 CBs. Now having your mom get brain surgery is a huge deal so it's kind of hard to fault him for missing time. That there were precious issues w him and McAdoo's dopey responses cloud what should most be a non issue

When I heard his mom was having brain surgery this week, I didn't expect him to play. So, I'm assuming that had something to do with it.

But he was a really bad miss by Reese as a first round pick with many other great options available. Plus, he has a bad attitude--"culture" comment comes to mind. Whether the culture is bad or not, that is not a topic for a crappy second year player to comment on publicly.

I don't know the details of her condition . But it is obvious that the smartest move Eli ever made was to get the hell out of Jersey and go to school in Columbus . For obvious reasons . I pray Mrs Apple recovers fully . I hope she learns about the destructive qualities attendant to being on social media all day, living her life through her son's. And I hope her husband thoroughly enjoys his beloved Eagles' excellent season. This thing is fucked up like Hogan's Goat.

Guys played Hard. Years of neglecting the LB spot was obvious. Goodson can�t be relied on.

McAdoof should have said so, given what Eli is going through with his Mom.

even if it was a discipline issue, he could have brought the team closer together simply by saying "look, we all know that there are some things that are more important than football."

He�s 22 years old, drafted when he was 20. Very close to his mother who apparently is in serious condition. He�s still learning to play the position and it has to be tough on him practically living in the hospital. For what it�s worth, he�s way better than Cockrell and they definitely could have used him last night

And since he missed time "this week" and it also being a short week he made the decision to keep him inactive for both games this week.

People are trying to read way more into this than there is.

Eli Apple was extraordinary at the NFL combine.He has exceptional size,and speed.Apple was drafted 10th,because he is an outstanding athlete.

Remember, Benny Hill said that Ellison was "underutilized" Minnesota. So far, 10 catches 87 yards and a td. Katy bar the door. And Reach gave this stiff 18 million with 8 million guaranteed and a 5 million signing bonus.

didn't miss Eli Apple. Most teams in the NFL would kill to be "stuck" with Janoris Jenkins and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as their starting CB's.

I don�t understand how your first round pick isn�t dressed for a game on a short week. I know this wasn�t exactly a championship game and this may not be a story at all but it seems like the Giants might have found something for Apple to do on field. McAdoo�s answers to the few questions I�ve read from the press seem a bit evasive but then again McAdoo isn�t forthcoming on much. Throw in the business with DRC and Jackrabbit being suspended and it does seem like there�s more here than just his mom undergoing surgery. But who knows? Fucked up season if there ever was one.
