Miami struggling at Pitt. Panthers lead 10-7 and are close to making it a 2 score game. Always thought Miami would have trouble here. They struggle when they have to travel a long way (as an example, their record in Blacksburg is bad)
Tech beating UVA 10 - 0 late in the fourth. I think this is 14 years in a row if Virginia Tech wins. UVA hoops though is 6-0 after winning the preseason NIT with a convincing victory over Rhode Island.
they're playing Syracuse in 19 and 20, but that obviously doesn't qualify for a legit opponent. Notre Dame should be fun in 2020/21 at Solider Field/Lambeau.
At this point, no you're right, Syracuse does not count other than satisfying the P5 requirement. But we're not talking about Syracuse. We're talking about an undefeated team that lives in cupcake city and could be in a four team playoff despite playing 1.5 good teams if you count NW as the .5.
Wow, by your logic bye-bye Clemson since they LOST to SYRACUSE.
Where a team is ranked when they play them should definitely be a factor, not only where those teams wind up. And did you notice the teams the SEC played recently? Nice break at a crucial time in the season. Like an extra bye week.
Bottom line Badgers never get the respect they deserve. They are among the highest ranked teams for the past 20 years in CFB on just about every metric except recruiting class.
And they are right up there with Stanford and Duke (private schools) in % of athletes who graduate. For me, the most important metric.
Really hope they beat Ohio State and get into the playoffs Â
Excited to see how the Badgers stack vs Bama. Talk about all 5 stars going against 3 stars. The old Badgers team that overachieved typically got blown away by SEC speed. I think this team might be good enough to give Bama problems. Would be a great litmus test.
WRs this season (Pryor, Davis.) They have potential. I still think Hornibrook is a game manager, he's been fortunate that his turnovers haven't bitten the Badgers yet.

Gotta beat Minnesota first today.
Totally agree, rivalry game so Minny will be pumped.
I was excited about Davis and Pryor had no idea he would be this good.
I know every team will make Hornibrook beat them, he's been up to the task so far. If they can run the ball on Bama then all bets are off.
sure if I agree with Hornibrook as a game manager. He takes shots downfield. Most unsuccessfully, but he has some moments of brilliance. He's pretty boom or bust. When he's on he's a top 3 QB in the B1G. But when he's off, he's really off.
Such a shitty, gutless team led by a coach who clearly doesn't give a shit how cheap they are. Garbage.
Getting their shit pushed in by Oklahoma.
I like Baker Mayfield better than any QB in the upcoming draft. Kid is a gamer and a really good leader, keeping his teammates focused and locked in despite WVU clearly trying to bait them.
for a guy who has no business starting for a program like Stanford. I have seen Costello many times this year and each time wondered how he was offered a scholarship by a d1 program, but of course the ND defense is making him look like John Elway tonight
its shit pushed in. Wow. Physically dominated. Didn't think Stanford had the horses. But ND looks completely dominated up front. Both sides. They're not ready for this. And they weren't ready for Miami. November is tough.
I'm just tired of it now. I've never liked Brian Kelly. Even when he has a good team, they're only so good (not good enough), and it never lasts into the following season. The funniest thing is the best team they had (record-wise) was with the players he disparaged. If they want to be so-so, keep this fucking guy. But if they want to be GREAT, they need a new coach.

I think your assessment of the game is a bit off. They had the lead after 3 quarters and Love had barely done anything at that point... not sure how that equals physical domination. They turned the ball over on consecutive plays and that was pretty much it.

You want to say they looked like dogshit in the 4th quarter? That's fine. But anyone who watched the game knows that's mostly because they turned the ball over 2 consecutive plays. It's really not a big deal, but your assessment of the game just doesn't accurately describe what happened. Giving up consecutive scoring drives of 29 and 18 yards isn't physical domination. That doesn't make sense. You wanna say Wimbush shit the bed again and looks like a service academy QB? Sure. You wanna say Brian Kelly is completely overrated? Correct. Otherwise, you seemed to ignore what happened the first 3 quarters. Eh... who honestly gives a shit though? I'm just annoyed and probably taking it out on you.
Irish eyes aside, ND got beat in the trenches. It wasn't close. Stanford manhandled them. And they made plays. It wasn't a close game. Not sure why you're clutching to that raft.
I didn’t see the game but I’m curious since you say that ND was dominated in the trenches. Did you focus on Nelson at all? Did he not look good? He’s been mentioned as an option for the Giants and I love his game but like I said, I didn’t see the game last night.
Tech,tech,vpi!
Tech,tech,vpi!
Are there any other D-I schools that have never won a title in any sport, ever, or does Tek have that distinction all to themselves?

I'll not be happy if the Bucks get into the playoff with 2 losses. A lot would have to break right for them beyond beating the Badgers next week.
Wolverines up 7-0..go Blue.

Fair. I feel like I need a shower.
He’s a clown. Exposed this year in a major way.

I'm not critical of them as a team - just the weak ass schedule, particularly the lack of a real OOC opponent.
But they look great today. I'm not saying they're not a good team. Not at all.
Badgers beat Northwestern who is ranked, Michigan who have been ranked and Iowa who have been ranked and the week after they decimated OSU.
Probably MSU.
This has to put Wisconsin in.
If everything holds and Wisconsin, Clemson, Oklahoma and Auburn all win next week - that's my four.
Alabama is suddenly South Carolina's biggest fan.
Alabama always gets a pass because of their recent history. It shouldn’t matter but it always seems to. They get name recognition points
Wisconsin is a lock if they beat OSU.
Oklahoma is a lock if they beat TTU.
The crazy wild card is Auburn coming off a HUGE win. Possible let down game against a really good Georgia team.
But if we go chalk, it's Auburn, Clemson, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. That's a great field.
Still think it should be 8 teams though.
But 8 would really be ideal, IMO.
Clemson DESTROYING South Carolina. Holy shit.
Wimbush has zero confidence right now in what he's seeing. Has a lot of talent but mentally is not there right now
ND is like the Giants as far as covering slow white tight ends goes
This Stanford team is mediocre and they are kicking ND's ass. Stanford hasn't been that great the last couple years and ND still can't beat them.
Their uniform combos are routinely excellent.

Yeah ok, but Costello murdered your squad. 4 TDs. He made it look easy.

ND was manhandled. Dominated. And finished.

I guess you're trolling. My bad.

Probably MSU.

B in ALB I hope you are right :)
The Badgers may have the most important three games in a long time coming up. I hope it works out like the 94 Rangers!
