Jimbo Fisher to take A& M job

ajr2456 : 11/29/2017 8:18 pm
FSU to go all in on Taggart.

Per the people I know down there the relationship is too deteriorated. It's all but over.
I don't get him leaving the ACC

for the SEC, but I'm sure A&M is throwing a ton of $ @ him.
This one I don't get...

FSU is a much, much better job. Jumbo has been outstanding picking up where Ole Bobby left off...

They are elite at recruiting. And Florida is a great state football state that FSU still owns over state peers UF and Miami...

Texas is certainly not chop liver with their crop of high school talent. But A&M still plays second fiddle to the Longhorns...

Very strange...

He wants more control over the boosters and wants changes to how they operate. I get the jist that people down there think he's acting like a petulant child

I wouldn't call the A&M boosters the Mafia but they aren't angels...
Holy crap, very few jobs

have more prestige over FSU and Texas A&M is not one of them.

I think he wants back into SEC to go after Saban.

Quick trigger fingers too. Not getting the leeway FSU was giving him after this season
Yeah...really?

So somehow you have the scoop but no other information is out there?

I'm saying I'll let this play into the weekend. I'm betting Jimbo stays right where he is, but if he does leave, Taggart isn't going to be the next coach.

Jimbo is seeing his control of Florida recruiting under serious threat

There's info floating around all over the place. Has been all week. Recruits decommitting. No commitment on staying. I'm not sure if you're an FSU fan or not, but as one I don't want to see this happen. But it doesn't look like there's anything to stop it now.
As I said

Fisher not expected to return - ( New Window )
You were right.

Mean culpa.
Not sure if mean culpa carries the same sentiment
allstarjim : 12/4/2017 8:48 am : link
Pretty sure not. Auto-correct...mean culpa, of course.

Eh, Jimbo was one of the best recruiters in CFB. Richt has done a good job to bring Miami back, but doubt that had anything to do with Jimbo leaving.

Thought I had at one time heard he wanted to go to the SEC so he could go against Saban every year.

Not sure who FSU will get, but it better not be some retread, washed out coach like Tennessee and UF have been doing.
