dpinzow : 12/1/2017 2:22 pm
Only one shot back of the lead through most of round 2
Actually tied for the lead at -8

in a packed field (Spieth, Reed, Matsuyama, Dustin Johnson, Fowler, Rose all near the top of the field)
This tournament doesn’t count

Don’t even bother bringing the troll’s name up.
Day 3
old man : 12/1/2017 2:55 pm : link
was often his super great or super collapse day during the physical issues.
If he gets through today within 2-3 we may find out tomorrow how well the rest and treatments have worked.
The game needs him since the next dominator hasn't as of yet.
Though that is actually a good thing since there are several very good ones and it makes for great viewing...except no ones been marketed correctly so fans can get a love crush on a Speith et al.
His tournament, 18 man with no cut, no pressure. It’s goofy golf.

Let’s not overreact. But of course, everyone will. Why people root for this guy baffles me. Great player in his day, skills to be held in awe, but to root for? Nah. Has been and always will be an asshole. He was slamming clubs on bad shots yesterday at his own “fun tournament”.
Everybody loves a redemption story.

I think as time goes on people root for the idea of tiger and the excitement he brought to the sport than actually rooting for tiger woods “the player.”
his swing looks smooth
hitdog42 : 12/1/2017 5:31 pm : link
and he is hitting it in line with justin thomas, who is one of the bigger hitters.

i dont think this new swing will cause injury. this could be the real comeback.

Must be some good

Same reasons everyone loves Michael Jordan. Same type of guy. But people love greatness. Tiger is my favorite athlete to watch of all time. I love golf with or without him but there is no disputing golf is infinitely better with him in the mix.
Get’em Tiger!

So happy to see him working his way back!
he looked really good

clearly shaking off some rust but looks in unbelievable form for his first tournament in a year+.
