the streak is over, Rivers will pass Eli on that list, as well as in all time touchdowns, Eli's HoF chances are shot after being benched for Geno...
there's no point now...
14 year career, 2 Super Bowls victories and 2 MVPs, top 7 in most categories and sitting a few games is ruining his HoF chances? What if he was injured to end his streak, would that ruin his chances?
At this point Eli is either in or he is out and the benching has little if any effect.
At this point, I don't care if it's Eli or Davis Webb or Geno. Â
If McAdoo is fired before the season ends, he will become the first Giants coach since 1930 to be dismissed before completing two full seasons. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has been widely speculated as a potential interim head coach if the Giants make a change, but one person with knowledge of the Giants' thinking recently told NJ Advance Media there is a good chance Mara and fellow co-owner Steve Tisch would instead name offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan the interim coach.
Sullivan or another member of this staff wins a game or two and is kept on.
Marrone won one game last season as interim HC. How is that working out this season?
So what? I still remember when John McVaybwin a couple of games as interim and they kept him in. And that turned out to be a total disaster. So keep Mike Sullivan and pass on David Shaw. McDaniels, etc

You're preaching to the choir. Eli is no doubt HoF material in my eyes, but you know how these things work. We only know what's what because we are so embedded with the organization. As of now, the last thing that the media will remember about Eli Manning, and perhaps voters, is that he got benched for Geno Smith.
Why the hell is Mike Sullivan getting consideration here Â

I disagree but even if I agreed at this point his career isn’t over. Now he’ll have the option to play in a better situation with a better GM building the roster and a coach that has a clue. Definitely better than sticking around here for some hybrid rebuild ordeal.
for not winning? Is Ben just the fall guy for the Eli decision when it was Maras or was it reall McAdoos idea?
I think the only reason McAdoo might get fired tomorrow is because he and Mara appeared to have a plan for working Geno and Webb into the remaining games that would've allowed Eli to keep starting and keep his dignity, but then McAdoo called an audible with a ridiculous predetermined time-share that may well have poisoned Eli's relationship with the organization. Mara wanted Eli to finish his career in a Giants uniform, and because of McAdoo's mistake (if it was indeed a mistake), that might not happen.
I clean house. Bring in a new GM to then hire a new HC and DC. Plus staff under them. You have to start fresh, don't leave any possible issues that helped plague this Giants team in the past 3 years.
Where did you see/hear that?
That is who I am hoping for

exactly, at this point whats done is done. Webb should start remaining 4 games and we need to lose all 4 to lock in the #2 pick
I actually think it helps his chances. Makes him a more sympathetic character. Not just a Manning that refused to play in SD.
Why? He has no experience. I wonder what the thought process is right regarding that

Its ignorant to say Elis God chances are shot. He'll get in. To say he has no chance is not based in reality

I thought about this, as well. You might have a point there. Influence the mob through the media.

And start over in January.
never trust Mara and automatically putting a stamp on either mac or Reeses departure..

Sullivan: another guy with no talent -- more waste heap material.
2) Now to save face, you almost have to stick with Geno until Webb is ready.
