He is going to be fired at the end of the season (as he should be), the team is still playing hard. He holds players accountable (DRC, Apple, Jenkins), so there is no fear of the team being out of control and having lasting damage. In addition, while I think the benching of Eli was so stupid and disastrously handled, I think we have a lot of people messing that up including our owners. There is no point in going through drama week after week. Let him finish this out (which may be more punishment than being put out of his misery)
I'm out for Dallas and may not be able to stomach the eagle game but plan on attending the new years ever disaster vs the Skins. I'd love it if McAdoo was still there suffering. there will be so few people in attendance that game he might actually hear the individual insults being hurled at him.
He's better off on the unemployment line. Everyone is.
No player on this roster really wakes up says “gotta play hard for coach today!”.

Whatever the reason, the players are trying and to me that would be a primary reason for a mid season removal. The players kind of went to bat for him yesterday—any satisfaction of doing it now is outweighed by the damage of the drama of the circus of this week after week. I wouldn’t do it today, but today should definitely be the last day we hear about this until after season. Either fire him today or let the media know all decisions will he made after season.

because there is fear of them not being able to find a job next season. They are all playing for self preservation in getting new contracts or hitting bonuses.

I don't agree with you on the players going to bat for him. The defenders have come back to playing for themselves.
But I do agree with your last part. Ownership needs to make the decision today. To me, its pretty clear its time for him to go now.
This would not be the first. Arnsparger was fired mid-season. Also, the Giants let go of several coaches mid-season during their season tenure early on in their history.
Also, Fassel came close to getting fired before he begged ownership to let him finish out the season and got it by saying he'd resign.
Let NcAdoo finish the season. Why? Because you cannot fire the owners is my pat response .
He has to go. This has been pathetic to say the least.
** NEWS **
If we weren't 2-9 going into yesterday, fans would have no compassion for that loss. And there were a lot of mental/concentration errors
- 2 bad turnovers in scoring territory
- 2 dropped INT's right in the defender's hands
- Allowing Lynch to rip off a 51 yard TD
- Defense allowing an easy score after making the game tight
We were playing a 5-6 team without their 2 best WR's. Are people really going to act like they'd be happy with the way the team played absent the 2-9 record? We have different definitions of playing hard
Can you imagine what the three remaining home games would be like
2) If McAdoo continues to be an embarrassment to the organization, he should go immediately.
The hitch is that in the case of #1, the Giants might be too talent deficient at this point to get a good read on the personnel. And in the case of #2, I think the GM and the owners have done as much to embarrass the organization as the coach.
Yes, it's been a poorly run team but that's as much on the organization generally as it is on Mac. Yes, Mac is pretty horrible with the press, but why - because he doesn't tell them much? I have no problem with that. I also think it takes guts to bench some of your best players because they're either breaking rules or underperforming, especially when you're a coach on the hotseat.
I get that he's likely gone, but I think it's a little unfair. His assignment was to win the division with the worst QB in the division and with offensive line that clearly didn't synch with his quarterback's strengths. It's like the organization said "go make lemonade with these lemons and when it starts to go sour, you're out."
I also think firing him today makes the team look like an even bigger lost-its-way laughing stock. But then again, I suppose nothing would surprise me with the way this season has gone...
- His offenses haven't put up over 20 points in how long??
- He ran 91% of the plays last year out of the same personnel grouping
- He carried a FB on the team for the first few games and never utilized him in short yardage or goal line situations
- The defense appeared to quit in at least two games prompting benchings and a film review that was the topic of discussion for the Thankgiving Night crew to blabber about all game
- We had two INT's directly in player's chests dropped yesterday which is probably more of a lack of focus than anything else
- He basically approached the first part of the season as if it were last year, playing ultra-conservative on offense thinking he had a dominant D
- He gave up playcalling midway through the year.
I see a lot of poor coaching this year, including the stubborness of having Ellison and a FB on the roster and not utilizing them very well
The damage with Eli is done and can't be undone (the streak). While I could (or would) never root for a loss, I believe Benny gives us the best chance for them. And with those losses , better draft picks for our new GM and HC to rebuild with.

This. Pretty simple. IMO
He tries to act like Belicheck without the resume or cool personility. It's like Richie Cunningham trying to act like the Fonz.

What do you think he has done right as a head coach? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or mean here - I'd legitimately like to know what people think his strengths are.

More heel heat than the Hogan heel turn and Ric Flair in the 1980s...
I might buy a ticket to Sunday JUST to boo MacAdoo... Unfortunately, it will be the most fun a fan can have this season.

Could have fooled me with guys like JPP,Shane Vereeen, they look like they have mailed it in or are just finished as players or they quit because they aren’t getting hurt for a lame duck coach ....... if it was me I’d cut them both regardless of cap hit
