worst season in decades. That said, I do have sympathy for him. He got his dream job and failed in a very public way. That has to be tough on him and his family

+1.. I hope he gets a good job somewhere else.. but this had to happen.. you can't expect to screw up Eli Manning demotion.. Instead of bringing the point to Eli that if game is out of reach, other QBs will come in.. he went ahead and straight up benched the guy..

I’ll say that. In his first year he got us to the playoffs after 4 years being out. The 2nd season was a disaster but he didn’t even get to finish. If you divorce yourself from some of the extenuating circumstances firing him does seem rash on the surface given those facts in a vacuum, but it was the right move. I don’t think he’s ready and I’m not sure he has the skill set to ever be
